Some homes really do make you pause for a minute when you first walk in and this 5-bedroom + maid's room villa for rent at Sidra Villas in Sidra 2 just does that. I remember opening the door and at first it feels almost too spacious. You kind of take a slow step inside and before you do anything else you just look out towards the garden because the glass doors are pulled wide open and the sunlight sort of rolls in and hits the back of the sofa. A bit further and you find the first bedroom with its own bathroom tucked inside. I pictured it working really well for guests or maybe if you have grandparents visiting sometimes. 

Now the kitchen is my favorite bit of the house. It is properly open and flows through to a second living area. Sometimes I think open plan gets talked up too much but here it fits. You can picture breakfast on the go or late night snacks or just hovering at the island chatting. It actually feels like a kitchen you'd use for real cooking not just for microwave dinners. I took a walk through and you'll see on the left the maid's room with attached bathroom. Handy if you have extra help or want extra storage that does not spill into the main living bits.

Upstairs there is more space than you expect. On the landing there is that third lounge area I think kids would naturally claim as their own spot. To the left you get the first upstairs bedroom then right next to it the second one. As you go through you find the master bedroom off to the left. I stood there for a second and noticed how quiet it felt even in the middle of the day. The walk in wardrobe is a real walk in not just a big cupboard. I could see myself tossing shoes about and still not running out of space. And the master bathroom has that feel where you actually want to light some candles and soak for a bit.

You have five proper bedrooms so nobody is getting stuck with the box room and the fifth one is just beside the master upstairs. I have to say the light in every bedroom was a surprise. The windows bring in this soft glow and you kind of forget you are in a gated community until you look out and remember there's 24/7 security out front. Kids can bike around the neighborhood and the garden outside is landscaped so you can just step out with coffee in the morning or throw a little barbecue on weekends. 

Getting around is simple too. Al Khail Road is just around the corner so if you need to be anywhere else in Dubai for work or for seeing friends you are not spending forever in traffic. Grocery runs or coffee shops do not take long either. There is just a calmness to this part of Sidra II that I noticed as soon as I started walking around. 

If you care about things like built in wardrobes or an actual garage space it has all that too and it is not the type of place that tries too hard. You feel a bit at ease here honestly.
