Dubai Doggie Boom

The joy of dog ownership is now growing amongst the local population of the UAE, with Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum himself being one of the many royals who fosters deep affection for dogs.
To see the rising popularity of dogs in Dubai and other emirates is quite remarkable and heart-warming. The city is embracing more changes to support dog owners and communities, including adopting a pets-at-work programme, which we are so proud to be a part of.
It is a delight to watch your workmates’ faces light up in utter joy when doggies visit our office. A workplace that allows staff to bring in their dogs will significantly notice closer collaboration between team members, employee retention growth, and overall improved well-being for the team.
The list of dog friendly places in Dubai is getting longer each day, and that extends to both indoor as well as outdoor venues. On that note, we are happy to highlight the top seven places where you and your pooch are guaranteed to have fun and spend quality time together.

The Pointe Beach Palm Jumeirah

The Pointe on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai opened in December 2018 and offers spectacular views of Atlantis The Palm. The scenic area is home to more than 80 food venues, as well as retail and tourist attractions.
Since June 2020 The Pointe is allowing residents to bring along their furry friends and the beach is fully open to welcome dogs, as long as they remain on leash and do not venture into the water. One important aspect to bear in mind in order to avoid fines and other unpleasant surprises is to observe the rules and bring your own dog waste bags.
The Pointe brings new energy to the entertainment and dining landscape of Dubai by providing visitors with limitless choices, vibrant experiences, and charming views. It’s the one-stop destination for residents and tourists, with a complete range of dining delights offering something for everyone, from gourmet dining to casual family restaurants. There’s also a dine-in cinema, a supermarket, a children’s entertainment area and more.
They love dogs so much, they will even offer a discount if you bring your pooch along.

The Irish Village

Cracking atmosphere and good old banter for you and your furry friends – is the best way to describe the lively Irish Village, particularly its original outlet in Garhoud.
The popular Celtic pub offers a massive, shaded patio for dogs and there are even ducks roaming around on the pond and plenty of cats ready for a big tease with your pet, so it will surely be a memorable adventure. The Irish Village is one of the first pet-friendly places in Dubai and surely lives up to its great reputation.
Even the dogs agree!

Bark Park

More than just a dog park in Dubai, Bark Park in Al Awir comes with an all-inclusive range of activities for a happy dog. It offers a large playground and a swimming pool where puppies and larger dogs can swim and play.
Situated on a traditional Emirati farm in Al Awir, BarkPark Dubai offers acres that are clean, safe & fully enclosed for you to socialize and for your dogs to exercise, train, play, swim and enjoy being off the lead. With a large & chlorine free swimming pond in our large dog area and smaller cool down pools for our small dogs, drinking water, fun agility equipment, shading, and a retail shop, BarkPark Dubai is a great place for you & your dogs.
Do not let the distance put you off, Al Awir is only 25 minutes’ drive from Business Bay and 40 minutes from Dubai Marina.

Burj Park Downtown

The park is purrfect for dog owners, especially those based in Downtown or Business Bay. Ideal spot for winter months, Burj Park offers some splendid views of Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa, but dogs are not allowed on the grass.
Not to worry though, after a long walk in the park and taking in all the Burj Khalifa vistas, it is time to rejuvenate your senses with a well-deserved coffee break and customised desserts for your pet, at Happy Bark Day Café in Business Bay.

Happy Bark Day Cafe

Happy Bark Day Café is the first dog café in Dubai, where the canine friends are leash free, and they can eat, play and socialize with the two Golden Retriever hosts in the café. Not only that, but the venue also provides fine dining for dogs, with a diverse menu that changes every day.
The furries can woof their way around delicious puppucinos, dishes with premium ingredients for dogs, and desserts delivered by a pet bakery master.
It just so happens that the owner of Happy Bark Day Café is a pet nutritionist, so bringing your dog here truly is the ultimate extravaganza you can offer your four-legged friend.
It really is all about dogs. But it is good to know that owners are welcome too.

The Greens

As the name suggests, The Greens master community is strategically located next to Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road. From here, there is easy access to Dubai Internet City, Media City, Dubai Marina, the American University in Dubai, and a selection of five-star hotels and restaurants, as well as several world-class golf courses. But despite being just a stone’s throw from most of the emirate’s attractions, the development offers a peaceful residential ambience, far removed from the hustle and bustle of a typical city.
Your canine buddy will have plenty of open areas to run wild, play, and socialize, and you don’t have to worry about dog waste bins, as the Greens community has it all.
After much fun at the park, you can stop by The Social Company, for some literal social company accompanied by some fine dining, drinking, and chilling.
Your pet will thank you for it, as the venue has a dedicated indoor area for dogs, including treats and water. Social Company is located in Zabeel House in The Greens.
