Some homes just have a feeling you notice before anything else. I remember stepping into this five bedroom villa in Hattan at The Lakes and just slowing down for a second. There is a soft hush when you walk through the entrance. Light sort of floats all around you and that first step inside feels calm and open. The corridor draws you straight ahead but honestly I just stood for a moment and let my eyes wander. Straight ahead you get these three welcoming spaces flowing together. There is the living room where you can imagine lazy afternoons or maybe a family movie night. The dining room is right there and feels like it really will get used not just for guests or special occasions. The family room felt warm too like somewhere you can relax after work or even help your kids with their homework at the table.
You get these gorgeous views into the back garden thanks to those big floor to ceiling glass doors. It is the sort of place where you actually notice the change in light during the day. Sometimes I caught a breeze when someone opened the doors a bit and you can hear the water from the pool beyond. Out in the backyard you get a real sense of privacy from the way the garden wraps around. There are old trees and green grass under foot and an infinity pool that almost looks like it runs off the edge. The waterfall sound, honestly, is very calming especially in the late afternoon. You have to try standing out there with a coffee or maybe in the evening when the sun drops behind the neighbouring houses.
In the kitchen you can actually picture real family meals because everything is set up to cook for real not just to show off. You have Poggenpohl cabinets and pretty much every Miele appliance you could think of. The island is solid and big enough to put out snacks while you chat. Sometimes family just gathers there before heading out for the day or coming home after school. There is also a second kitchen tucked away which helps when you have a bigger group or need extra space for prep. I was impressed how much storage you have. No trying to squeeze everything in.
Upstairs the master bedroom is where you end up after a long day and you get these soft morning views out over the community. Every bedroom in this villa has its own bathroom which always feels like a small luxury when everyone is getting ready at the same time. The kids or guests have their own proper space. Light comes in from different sides so each room has its own feeling. At the very top there is a roof terrace that genuinely surprised me. It is private and actually set up so you could have a few friends over for a barbecue or even use it just for yourself on a quiet evening. You can spot some of the neighbourhood from here and even catch a round of golf across at Emirates Golf Club if you look far enough.
The outdoor kitchen is a nice touch too. I could imagine grilling on weekends or making a quick breakfast on a busy morning. Plus if you like entertaining you will appreciate the bar area. Sometimes you can catch sounds of kids playing outside or neighbours talking as the sun goes down. It is a real community here and you feel that at The Lakes. There is dedicated space for staff just out back and a car port which is actually easy to get in and out of.
Life at The Lakes is honestly just convenient. You are close to good schools and the grocery run is quick. The golf club is right next door and you see families out walking or kids biking in the evenings. It is both quiet and lively depending on the day. This home really does work as a family villa and it does not feel too big or too small.
The only way to know if it feels right is to come see it in person. If you have questions or want to wander through this Hattan villa I am always here to help. At LuxuryProperty.com we want your next move to feel comfortable and just right.
