Some homes really slow you down in the best way. I remember stepping into this Royal Villa at Royal Phuket Marina and hearing the sound of water coming from the pool just outside. There is this calm in the air right away that is hard to put your finger on. It is a five bedroom villa in Phuket but honestly it feels much more like your own private resort than just a home. Maybe it is the way the light comes through the big windows first thing in the morning or maybe it is those little ponds that wrap around the master suite and catch the breeze. I did not want to leave.
This villa is kind of a blend of old Thai palace style on the outside with the easygoing comfort of a modern place inside. Three floors but you never feel boxed in. The ground level has two wings and each one feels like its own home. On one side you get this huge open living space that sort of flows from the living room into a proper dining area. There is a kitchen you will actually want to cook in, not just look at. You have a bar right in the center that is perfect for morning coffee or late night conversations. There is something about the way the rooms link up that makes every part of the house feel connected but still private.
Walk a bit further and you find the master suite. This is the kind of bedroom that challenges you to leave in the morning. There is a pretty sitting room that opens to the backyard pool. The master bath has a proper spa vibe and there is no shortage of closet space—you will find his and hers dressing rooms ready for a serious wardrobe. If you pay attention you will hear small birds and sometimes even see koi in the ponds right outside your window. Overlooking the front lawn is actually something special if you catch a sunrise here.
Upstairs is where the rest of the sleeping happens. Three bedrooms each with its own view. I spent a few minutes in one of the corner rooms and you could hear the leaves outside and just a bit of chatter from the marina. The rooftop cabana feels almost hidden away up there. It has its own quiet bedroom and to be honest I could see it being a spot for guests who like a bit of privacy. The third floor is all about relaxing. There is a spa space with a Jacuzzi. The roof terrace has little water features plus a spot to sit out in the evenings and watch the sky change colors. There is also another bedroom suite up here so you could easily have quiet mornings while the house wakes up below.
Honestly one of my favorite things about this Phuket villa is the backyard. You have all the space you need, it almost feels like a park. The pool stretches out a good long way and there is a shaded Jacuzzi which is a real treat in the late afternoon. There is a pool cabana with its own bar and an outdoor lounge where you can have casual meetings or just chat with friends without it being formal. Look around and you will probably see kids biking by or families taking walks around the marina, the atmosphere is almost always laid back.
Another detail you might love is the private ramp that leads straight down to your own boat dock. Living here at Royal Phuket Marina means your weekends can start right on the water. Who needs to get in the car when the boat is closer.
The villa is not furnished right now so you are free to imagine it in your own style. Maybe you want someplace sleek and simple or maybe you like patterns and wood. There is plenty of room for both. You are in a great spot in Phuket, with all the essentials like the coffee shop, good restaurants and quiet corners for reading not far off. It never feels busy here even in the middle of the season.
If this five bedroom villa in Phuket sounds like something that might fit your way of living, the only way to really know is to walk through yourself. You have plenty of space and more than a little privacy. If you want to come see it or just have a few questions, I am happy to talk any time. At LuxuryProperty dot com we just want to help you find that one place where it really feels right.
