Some homes just make you stop an extra second before you even walk in. That happened to me at this six bedroom villa in the Wildflower part of Jumeirah Golf Estates. The entrance surprised me actually, because you do not always expect that full sense of arrival anymore. There is just this feeling when the doors open and light spills across the hall. You will notice it right away.
This villa is set right along the Earth golf course and honestly the views of the fairways seem to just keep rolling into the horizon. The back garden stretches the full length of the tenth fairway so it is almost like your own corner of green right in Dubai. I spent a little bit leaning on the terrace rail just watching the sun drop over the grass and you almost forget you are anywhere near the city.
Inside, it feels more like a family home than some of the larger villas you sometimes see. There is a grand staircase, sure, and the elevator is there if you need it, but the reception rooms actually feel cosy. The formal drawing room has those heavy windows where the afternoon light really streams in. I could see people chatting here after dinner or just sinking down with a book. The dining room is not stuffy at all and opens easily into the family lounge. It feels like one of those places where friends just wander in and out, especially on a lazy Saturday.
And the kitchen is not just for show, you can tell someone has thought about where things should be. The breakfast room is right along the back so you have that morning sun coming in. I can imagine the smell of coffee here while everyone's still waking up. There is another kitchen at the back if you feel like cooking a bigger meal or if you have help at home. Plus there is plenty of space for storage, and even the maid's quarters are comfortable, which is honestly rare.
The living area blend straight into this glass room with floor to ceiling windows, which just glows during the day. I stood there for a bit and you can see everything happening in the garden without stepping out. There is another space, all lined with mirrors, made for a private gym. Honestly, you could close the doors and play music as loud as you like. There is also a home office that feels tucked away enough to really work, and a guest bedroom that just feels private and quiet.
One thing I liked a lot is the enclosed internal courtyard. It has its own swimming pool hidden in the middle of the villa, with the open roof above so you get fresh air and sun but no one is walking past and seeing in. It is a nice way to have pool days here without any distraction.
Head upstairs and there are five more bedrooms, each with a proper walk in wardrobe and ensuite. Nobody has to share. The master suite is tucked at the end with its own lounge, so you kind of get a bit of a retreat within the house. The bathroom is almost spa like and the private terrace looks right out over the golf course and garden. Sometimes you spot golfers out in the morning just before it gets too warm.
I had to mention the basement because you do not always get a space like this. There is a proper cinema room with those big reclining seats. It is dark enough that the screen really glows. Next door is a games room with a pool table and a private bar that could honestly fit a few friends for a football match night or movie marathon.
The garage has plenty of room for three cars, and parking is never a problem with the driveway. Plus there is space for a driver if you need it.
Living in Jumeirah Golf Estates is something special. The neighbourhood is calm, people say hello to each other, and the golf club is close enough that grabbing a coffee or heading for a round never feels like a hassle. Sometimes on weekends you hear families outside or see people biking in the evening, just easy days.
