Some places just have that thing that makes you pause for a second when you walk in. This modern apartment in the Address Jumeirah Beach Residence is definitely one of those. Actually, I almost forgot I was supposed to be working and just found myself standing there by the window for a bit, looking out at the sea and all that open sky. You get such an easy sense of space here. There is something about being high up, you can see all the way out to Bluewaters and even the Palm. The view is one of those you feel like sharing with someone but sometimes it is just as good to sit with a coffee and take it in by yourself.

You will find yourself in the middle of Jumeirah Beach Residence, so there is always something happening below but it never really feels too busy up here. You are on the doorstep of the beach, which is great if you like a morning swim or you just enjoy watching the waves come in. Every room has that full sea view. Even the living room seems bigger when there is nothing blocking your view. I think it helps that the glass walls let in all that natural light so it just feels bright and open all the time.

The kitchen is a real kitchen, too. Sometimes in apartments you get a space that looks good in photos but I actually checked out the cabinets and appliances here myself. You can see it is set up for people who like to cook something real, not just heat up takeaway. For short stay, it feels a bit like you could easily live here longer if you wanted. The floors are cool under your feet and when you open the balcony door you hear a bit of the city mixed with the sea, which is honestly kind of relaxing.

Both bedrooms have views out toward the beach and Palm. The master bedroom has one of those walk in showers couples seem to like. The guest bathroom just across the hall is a good touch as well. You do not always see that in holiday rentals but it makes a difference if you have friends staying over. The bedrooms are quiet, surprisingly, you do not really notice any city noise once you are inside.

The balcony is where I would probably end up most evenings. You can see bits of Bluewaters and the boats going by the Marina. Sometimes you see people out walking with their kids or jogging along the Walk. At sunset, it gets this golden glow that just makes everything seem softer. You might catch some music drifting from one of the little beach clubs below.

Honestly, you also get some of the best facilities in the area. There is a shared gym if you like a morning workout and a spa for when you want to just take it easy. Plus there is a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops right downstairs. The coffee shop is never far if you are the sort who likes to grab something fresh in the morning. The Walk at JBR is just around the corner too. I noticed there are always families out in the evenings and the shops stay open later than most places.

Your parking spot is secure and getting in and out is so easy here, you can be on Sheikh Zayed Road in a few minutes or jump on the tram or metro if you want to leave the car behind. The actual building feels really safe, you see staff around but they are always just quietly keeping things running. It is the sort of place that feels comfortable coming home after dark.

To be honest, you have to stand here and just let it sink in a bit. Some places feel like they fit you and this apartment might just be one of those.
