Some places just feel calm the moment you step in and that is what I got standing inside this studio at Anwa by Omniyat right by the water in Dubai Maritime City. Even before you notice the views your shoulders seem to drop a little. It is kind of the feeling you want after a long day. Sunlight pops in through these floor to ceiling windows that face straight out onto the sea. When I checked it out the Arabian Gulf was just this soft blue in the afternoon and there was a tiny breeze coming through if you opened the windows a bit. If you are someone who likes a place with quiet mornings, this one is easy.
Inside, everything's done in pale shades, nothing shouts for attention but it all comes together in a way that just works. Maybe it is the colors or just how streamlined it all is but the whole space feels bigger because of it. I actually stood near the kitchen for a second and realized it is the kind of kitchen you would really use not just heat up leftovers. All the basics are there plus a bit more and there is still room if you are the type who wants a coffee machine out on the counter or likes space for a little fruit bowl. You have got a separate powder room as well which is handy if you ever have someone over. Plus a laundry area tucked in where you would expect, nothing too showy but really practical if you need to do a quick wash before heading out. Everything feels easy and nothing is trying too hard.
What stood out to me is this main living area doubles up as your bedroom but because it is shaped well, nothing feels crammed. You can put a proper bed, maybe a small sitting chair near the glass just to look out now and then. And honestly, you probably will. I watched a couple of boats gliding by out on the water and lost track of time for a bit. That view really makes the apartment feel even more peaceful. If you have work to do or need to clear your head, just watch the gulf for awhile. Even at night, the city lights are across the water but they feel far enough away that you can actually relax.
If amenities matter to you, Anwa has you covered. There is an infinity pool that looks like it goes right into the sea. When I was there, a few people were quietly reading by the deck while someone's kids played not too far. The gardens are all landscaped so it is green in the middle of all that blue. There is a dedicated yoga room and even a gym that has these full sea views. Working out there honestly feels less dull when you are staring at waves. For families or if friends drop by, there are play spaces for kids plus a shallow pool just for them.
Walking out you are right on the waterfront promenade. People actually stroll here in the evenings and you might see folks jogging or just looking at the ships coming into Mina Rashid. Coffee shops are near enough if you want to grab something in the morning before you head to work. The Queen Elizabeth II and The Dubai Mall by the Sea are both a few minutes off by car and you can get to the rest of Dubai pretty simply, the road network is direct and not too confusing which makes life easier. And yes there is your own parking spot right downstairs so no wasted time circling the block.
This studio really suits someone who wants a place to just feel quiet with amazing sea views all day. Whether you want it as a small city base, a calm home for yourself, or even as a smart investment, I would say it just works. The only real way to know is to come by and feel the place for yourself.
