Some apartments just have a certain quiet energy as soon as you come in. This two bedroom place in Collective at Dubai Hills Estate is definitely one of those. You walk in and there is this flow from the lobby downstairs all the way up to your own entry. Honestly you might find yourself slowing down a little just breathing it in because you get a sense of young people around you talking in the communal areas or maybe someone reading by the window. Collective really tries to make life more social. You feel it the second you step through the door.
I spent some time in the living area and you can see how well the open plan space works for just about anything. The kitchen's not boxed in so if you are cooking, or pretending to cook, you are still part of the conversation. Sometimes you stand by those big windows and just watch the world outside. The light here fills up the apartment through floor to ceiling glass doors. You almost don't need to switch on the lights during the day. If you like a balcony for morning coffee or the odd late night chat, you've got that too. Out there you get a real view of the skyline. It is there to greet you every day and every evening.
The design is really simple but it feels fresh not cold. The palette is muted and I'd say you can actually imagine putting your own little stamp everywhere. It is functional, sure, and it actually makes it easy to live the way most people live now, with a bit of everything happening in the same room. You'll also notice no wasted corners or space that just sits empty. Two good sized bedrooms mean you can share or keep a guest room or just stretch out a little. It is a good amount of space at 742 square feet and it honestly feels more open because of the windows and layout. Nothing feels boxed in or far away.
Collective as a community was made for younger professionals or anyone who likes the idea of bumping into neighbors on the way to the gym. The ground floor lobby always has a bit of a buzz. You might see someone with a laptop working in a lounge chair or groups hanging out before heading to the pool. There's a fully equipped fitness center which is pretty handy if staying fit is your thing or if, like me, you like to promise yourself you'll start next week. Sometimes you hear a game going on in the game room or you see people outside catching up. It feels pretty connected for a place in Dubai.
The outside spaces might actually surprise you. There are outdoor lounges and you can walk straight out to landscaped areas. If you want something more lively there's always the pool. Plus you are never far from pretty much everything. The Dubai Hills Mall and Park are just walking distance. The coffee shop is always within reach and sometimes on a weekend you notice kids riding bikes by the Boulevard. It is not noisy though. Just that low background hum that feels like home.
Honestly this apartment works for a lot of different people. Whether you're after a first place of your own or something that can actually work as an investment in Dubai, Collective has a way of fitting pretty easily. You can see people living actual lives here, not just instagram moments.
And, the best thing is, you only really know if it is the place for you by seeing it in person. If you have any questions or if you just want to walk through and get a feel for the apartment and the Collective community, give me a shout any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we just try to help you make the move feel simple and comfortable. Sometimes you only need to step inside to understand if it is the one.
