Some places just feel right from the moment you walk in. With this one bedroom apartment in The Sterling at Business Bay, there is that sense of calm. Everything is just about in the right spot and you feel it even as you step out from the elevator and into the corridor. The Sterling by Omniyat is set a little in between Downtown and the canal so you are close to Burj Khalifa and also near the water. Walking to the boulevard never takes long but you sort of get the best of both worlds living here.
The building itself is a bit of a statement. The chrome outside sparkles especially at sunset. You see it from far off and you cannot really mistake it for anything else in Business Bay. When you get inside this apartment, you can actually feel the care that has gone into the finishes. You will notice the walls are done in warm tones not stark or cold like you sometimes get in new towers. The furniture, since it is furnished already, has a designer feel but does not feel out of place or too precious to use. The kitchen is tucked just right beside the living space and really feels like somewhere you could cook properly, not just heat up a takeaway. There is even space for a little coffee moment in the morning. I actually opened one of the cupboards and it is deep enough to fit real kitchen stuff, not just plates you never use.
Sitting by the tall window looking out at the city is probably my favorite bit. You get the Burj view on a clear day and at night you can actually see the city lights shimmer a little. It sounds small but when you are winding down in the evening, it just kind of settles you. The bedroom has those big windows too so you wake up with actual sunlight instead of needing to flick all the switches first thing. There is a walk in wardrobe you can actually walk into, not like those shallow ones, so all your suits or dresses have space. The bathroom just feels easy. The water pressure is solid and you have enough counters around the sink for everyday life.
The amenities at The Sterling are there for when you want to just take it easy. There is a proper gym not just a treadmill and some weights, and the wellness center always seems calm. Down by the pool in the afternoon you might see a few neighbors reading or just relaxing under one of those cabanas. It is never too busy which sometimes really makes the difference. There are even two little lagoons, kind of like having a small weekend escape without leaving home. Security is always around but never intrusive and valet parking means no hunting for a spot each time you drive in.
You will notice the area around The Sterling is always lively but not hectic. On weekends people stroll down to the canal or grab coffee on the boulevard and sometimes you see kids skating. The best part is how close everything feels. Dubai Mall is just around the corner and you are never far from a good meal or a quick shop if you forgot something. Even longer walks are easy with pavements everywhere which you do not always get in Dubai.
Honestly, I think this apartment works for someone who wants to live in a good spot and just wants things to run easy. It could be a peaceful first home or even a second place in Dubai for weekends or holidays. You do not always find something with this kind of light and this kind of view at this price in Business Bay.
It is always difficult to know for sure from words and photos though. The only way to really feel it is to come by and walk through yourself. Reach out anytime, even if you just have a few questions. At LuxuryProperty.com, we always try to make finding a new home in Dubai as comfortable as it should be.
