Some homes feel almost like they are showing off a bit, without even trying. That is the feeling I got when I walked into this really cool two bedroom loft apartment at The Pad in Business Bay. You get the sense right away that this place is different. Maybe it is the angle of the building itself, kind of leaning over the Dubai Water Canal, almost like it is watching its own reflection. The sun pours in through these huge windows and for a minute or two I just stood there and looked out at the water and the city blinking beyond. You can actually see the Burj Khalifa from the pool deck which is honestly one of my favourite little surprises here. There is something about watching the sunset behind Dubai's most famous tower while you just hang out by the pool that makes you want to slow down for a while.
There is a kind of Miami vibe to this two bedroom apartment for sale in The Pad. The space is spread out across two levels so you get a real sense of privacy and openness at the same time. It is kind of cool how you come up the stairs and both bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms. I always find that makes mornings so much easier. No one fighting for the shower or waiting on each other. The windows stretch over both floors so every room reaches out towards the canal view. I stopped one morning just to listen out and the only thing you hear is that early quiet and maybe some birds. You could actually forget you are in the middle of Business Bay until you look out and see the city waking up.
The living area is bright and open but it is not all polished and stiff. There are these really fun pops of colour that make it feel lively but not too much. The space bends a bit as you walk in and you get these two spaces for chilling out. The dining area feels right for having friends over and not just the kind of place you set down your bag and eat something fast. I found myself imagining having slow dinners here, proper conversations. The kitchen does not just look good, it feels made for someone who might actually cook. Enough space to spread out a chopping board or two, not just store leftovers. There is also a maid's room with its own bathroom so if you need some extra space or maybe a quiet spot to work it is there but never in the way.
The Pad has this personality you hardly ever get in Business Bay. From the moment you walk into the lobby those giant flamingos are sitting right there just making the place feel fun and not so serious. The gym has all the equipment you would expect for a proper workout and the pool area outside is where I imagine most people end up just unwinding. You are up above everything and the views go on forever. On a clear day you see the Burj Khalifa right from the pool and that really never gets old. Downstairs you have some small shops and dining places so coffee or a snack is always a few steps away. If you like running or just walking by the canal there is a jogging track that goes right along the water and evenings are honestly lovely with people out and about, some just taking it easy after work and others getting their steps in.
Being in Business Bay means you are close to Downtown Dubai, the Dubai Mall and DIFC. You are never more than ten minutes from adventure or errands. But when you are inside this apartment it actually feels like you have a hideaway to come back to. Loads of people look for canal side apartments for sale in Business Bay but what always gets me about The Pad is just how relaxed it feels. The building stands out. The vibe stands out. Yet it never feels cold or too done up.
Honestly the only way to really know if this place fits your life is to see it for yourself. You might find yourself wanting to stay a bit longer than you planned. If you have questions or you just want to have a look, let me know. At LuxuryProperty dot com we want your move to a Dubai apartment or your next upgrade to be as easy as grabbing a coffee on a lazy morning along the canal.
