Some places just make you slow down a bit before you even understand why. This two bedroom apartment at Marquise Square in Business Bay does that. Maybe it is the natural light that comes in through those tall windows or the sense that everything is close enough to walk if you really want to try. I found myself just standing by the window for a moment watching the water down below and thinking you could easily forget to check your phone in a place like this.
Honestly the location is a big part of why it feels good. You are kind of at the heart of things here. From Marquise Square you can see the Burj Khalifa not just as a postcard perfect sight but as something almost constant in your actual day to day. The Dubai Water Canal is just down the lane and a late walk beside it feels easy on a weeknight or early weekend. Downtown Dubai is practically calling out. The Dubai Mall is nearby and you have great places to eat or just wander when you want a change of pace. Even grabbing coffee on a lazy morning is simple because most of the best cafes are within reach by foot or just a quick drive.
Inside the apartment it is all clean lines and nothing fussy. The open plan living space really does blend into the kitchen in a way you do not see everywhere. It feels like somewhere you would actually cook or sit with friends rather than just a space for show. When I walked through the kitchen I ran my hand along the counters and noticed it is the kind of kitchen you would actually use to cook up a proper meal not just store takeout. Both bedrooms have closets that do a better job than you would expect of keeping clutter out of sight. En suite bathrooms in both rooms mean no one is waiting in line in the morning which ends up mattering more than you think. There is an extra bathroom right at the entrance so guests have their own space too.
The best thing about Marquise Square is how the whole tower is set up for a relaxed lifestyle. The gym looks out across the city and at certain times of day you will catch the warm sunlight as you work out. The pool is one of those places where you sit for a while and lose track of time. Sometimes you find a few neighbors spending an afternoon there with their kids or just relaxing with a book. The sauna is there when you need to warm up and the children's play area always has a few kids burning off steam after school. For shopping or a meal out you do not have to go far because there are shops and places to eat all along the podium level downstairs. Life feels connected but never crowded.
You will also notice a nice mix of people in the building. Some are professionals working in Business Bay others have young families and you do get a sense of community but in a low key kind of way. The evenings sometimes have kids biking with their parents or a few friends catching up outside. Plus you can see more of the city than you would imagine just looking out from the window or stepping out onto your own balcony. It just feels like a spot you settle into without thinking too hard.
If you are thinking about a new apartment in Business Bay or anywhere near Downtown Dubai this one is worth a look. Marquise Square is not really about being showy. It is for people who want easy city access but still crave a home that feels open and welcoming every day. The only real way to know if this place is right for you is to come see it for yourself.
