Sometimes you just walk into a place and you can already picture yourself calling it home. I got that feeling stepping into this one bedroom apartment at Marquise Square in Business Bay. Maybe it is the way the sunlight kind of tumbles in through the floor to ceiling windows or the way you can hear the calm hush from the Dubai Water Canal when you step out onto the balcony. You feel the city is close but life inside the apartment is just a bit quieter and calmer. Marquise Square is tucked right where Business Bay almost meets Downtown Dubai so if you are like me and like to wander the shops or grab coffee or just sort of watch the world go by you are in the very heart of it. Everything just feels close but not on top of you.
When you come in, you actually notice the modern touches right away. The kitchen and living space have those neat wood panels mixed with sleek metal finishes. It sort of gives a cool but warm vibe at the same time. Honestly, it is not one of those showpiece spaces where you would never want to touch anything. It feels like somewhere you would actually make dinner for friends or crash out after a long work day. There is this easy flow between each part of the apartment that makes it feel bigger than you would expect. The floor to ceiling windows really do wonders. I found myself just kind of pausing by the glass for a bit and watching the Burj Khalifa out in the distance. Sometimes you get sunsets that color the whole room a golden orange. You almost forget to look at your phone for a while.
The bedroom has built in closets which means there is no struggle for storage. You are not going to end up with suitcases under the bed or anything like that. What I liked was the en suite bathroom. Everything feels clean and sharp in there. The fittings are honestly high quality so things will last and still look good in a few years. The shower has good water pressure too which maybe sounds like a little thing but it is the kind of thing you notice every morning.
If you like a bit of fresh air, you have your own balcony so even if you just want to step outside with a coffee or see the evening lights, it is all your own spot. It is private enough that you do not feel like you are sat out on display.
Marquise Square has quite a lot to offer downstairs as well. There is a gym with all the machines actually working and a swimming pool that is big enough for more than a few laps. I even saw some families with kids at the play area and honestly everyone just seemed pretty relaxed. Sometimes people come in just for the retail or some of the restaurants at podium level which makes the building feel a little alive without ever being chaotic. It makes it easy if you need a quick snack or want to meet up with people on weekends.
Nearby you have the Dubai Mall and all the downtown stuff that people travel across the city to see. The best thing is after the chaos you can just be home in minutes. The canal path is there if you want to run in the mornings or just have a quiet walk in the evenings. I have seen people biking there and some folks just sitting by the water reading a book.
For me this apartment feels like it works for quite a few different people. Maybe you are looking for your first home in Dubai or you want a smart investment or even somewhere to keep for visits and long weekends. It is easy to lock up and leave if you are traveling a lot and it never feels stuffy like some apartments do.
The price sits right where quality meets good value for this side of town. The only way to really know how the place feels is to check it out for yourself. If you want to ask anything or just walk through the apartment and see what it is really like get in touch any time. At LuxuryPropertycom we believe moving should always feel like the right step.
