Some homes just sort of pull you in right away. This one bedroom apartment at 15 Northside does that the moment you come through the door. It sits right along the Dubai Canal in Business Bay and honestly there is this kind of buzzy city feeling but also just enough calm the minute you sit down and look out those big floor to ceiling windows. The light here on a sunny morning makes you want to stand by the glass for a while and watch the canal below. People always say they want a view and here you get that for real. I watched boats go by and caught the skyline changing colours as the day went on. You get a piece of Downtown in your window every time you wake up or pour a coffee.
The space honestly feels just right for someone who likes things open but not overwhelming. The living area and kitchen kind of blend together in an easy way so you can make a cup of tea and still talk with someone in the living room or even on the small balcony. The kitchen is done up with smart finishes and all the storage is actually useful. You can see yourself cooking something real here or just heating up something in the evening. Plus there is a dining spot that fits a table so you do not have to eat off the sofa unless you want to. There is a little powder room set aside for guests which always feels like a nice touch.
The bedroom itself is a good size and that inbuilt wardrobe is one of those practical things you start to really appreciate after a while. You get your own piece of outdoor space too. I stepped out on the balcony and you get air and fresh light and can just listen to that city hum without it being too much. The bathroom is attached so you can start your morning without wandering everywhere which sounds simple but ends up being a real bonus. It is the kind of place where you can close the door and finally take a breath after a long day.
Now once you step outside your front door there is more going on than most people expect. The building has this podium level infinity pool up high with the skyline all in view. I noticed it is never too crowded and there are corners for both swimming laps or just floating for a bit. There is a separate pool for kids and I have seen people jogging around the canal path downstairs while others head into the indoor gym or do a workout outside. There is something about exercising outdoors here that feels different with the water nearby and city all around. The sky deck upstairs sometimes gets people grilling or having coffee early in the day. You even get a few nice retail spots downstairs for when you run out of milk or just feel like grabbing a snack. Weekend mornings you will see people with strollers or sometimes you catch kids riding their bikes by the water in the cooler months.
Living in 15 Northside puts you right where Business Bay is always alive but you can still nod hello to neighbours and feel part of a smaller community. There is always a new place to try for lunch and you are just a short drive from Downtown Dubai if you want a bit more action. The canal walkway is one of my favourite things here. Some people run before work others just wander in the evenings and honestly sometimes you almost forget to check your phone because there is just enough happening to keep your mind off it.
You can look at pictures all you want but it is different when you actually stand at the window or sit by the pool. The only real way to know if this apartment at 15 Northside in Business Bay fits you is to come by and see how it feels.
