There is just something about this four bedroom apartment at Bluewaters Residences in JBR that puts you at ease right away. Maybe it is the calm you get from all that water just beyond the windows or maybe it is how open and easy the rooms feel when you first walk in. I found myself leaning against the balcony rail, honestly just watching boats drift by for a few minutes and thinking how close the city feels but how separate this spot really is.
So the place itself covers close to two thousand five hundred square feet and even though it's big it does not feel stiff. The floors are this pale wood that reminds me of Scandinavian design, nothing fussy just clean lines and a kind of warm underfoot feeling. The kitchen is genuinely the kind of place you might want to cook for real with proper Italian appliances by Elba and worktops that you can actually spread ingredients out on. Storage is clever here too. Built in cabinets everywhere but nothing overwhelms the space. Even if you are not someone who loves making food you will appreciate how easy everything is to wipe down and put away.
There is just something nice about waking up in a bedroom that lets in soft morning light and all four bedrooms here do that. They all have roomy built in wardrobes and more than enough space to stretch out without bumping into furniture. I always notice if a room feels cramped but nothing here ever does. The bathrooms are done with a quiet style too. I did check more than once. The vanities are just right for getting ready in the morning, nothing excessive but everything feels new and solid.
Balconies in waterfront apartments sometimes promise views but here you actually get them. You stand outside and watch the Arabian Gulf changing color through the day with the Dubai skyline as a backdrop. At sunset it is really something and if you are the kind of person who likes a coffee outside or even just some quiet time in the evenings you will probably be out here a lot.
You get proper amenities at Bluewaters Residences. There are two gyms that both feel bigger than most that I have seen in Dubai and four different pools, so you are never fighting for a spot. I noticed the gardens are actually tended to, not just left alone, and it is the kind of place you see kids running around in the evening. If you like shooting hoops there is even a basketball court tucked away and it actually gets used. The play areas for children seem popular so families really do put them to good use. Sometimes you see parents with strollers just circling the gardens and it is all pretty calm.
Living here you are right across that little bridge from the buzz of JBR but Bluewaters manages to keep its own energy. The shops and restaurants are close but nothing feels too crowded. The coffee shop is never far and actually some places by the marina are perfect for weekend breakfasts with friends. The parking is generous, I have never heard of anyone struggling for space even on busier days.
It is hard to sum it up but the apartment just feels easy to live in. You do not feel like you are in a show home, just a good space that really works for day to day living. Plus everything is finished exactly the way you would want it if you are looking for something modern but not cold.
I could go on but really the only way to get a sense of it is to come and see. Sometimes a place just feels right once you walk around and look out of the windows yourself.
