Some places just put you at ease when you walk in. This three bedroom apartment at Bluewaters Residences on Bluewaters Island really has that kind of feel. I caught myself slowing down even though I meant to just take a quick look. The light pours in from all sides because of those big windows and the way the living space just opens up, so you see a lot of blue sky and water and even Ain Dubai right across the way. Birds fly past sometimes and you can just watch the sea if you want to. That was something I was not expecting but it makes you want to spend more time here. There is an easy rhythm in these rooms. It never feels cramped and you do not feel like you are boxed in at all. The open floorplan lets you wander from the living area to the kitchen and then out to the balcony. Honestly it is a good spot to actually cook something. The kitchen is not tucked away but is part of the living space so you can talk to friends or family while you get dinner sorted. I noticed the white counters and clean lines and you will also see some warm wood finishing which gives it character. Not everything is shiny or cold. It kind of just feels comfortable and if you have kids or work from home it would work well because nothing about it feels precious or hard to keep up with.
From the windows you get this full view of the sea and Ain Dubai which is probably one of the more iconic things about living here. You really get that Dubai skyline too especially as the sun sets since the place gets a lot of afternoon light. Some evenings you might hear the music from some of the nearby restaurants drifting up or see boats going by. The bedrooms each have that same relaxed feel with good built-in storage and there is space for king beds or desks if you want a spot for work. There is room to make each one your own without trying too hard. The bathrooms are well finished with walk-in showers and you get a tub too. There is also a helper's room which is a rare bonus in newer apartments here.
Living on Bluewaters Island puts you a quick stroll away from the shops and a bunch of restaurants, some nights you might catch yourself wandering out just for coffee or meeting up with friends downstairs. The little supermarket is open late and there are bakeries and things that keep life simple. Plus the gym is well equipped and the pool area has a view so you can actually enjoy a swim or bring the kids down on weekends. I see people jogging or walking strollers along the promenade almost every morning and in the evenings sometimes you spot families biking past or just enjoying the breeze.
Access is honestly very easy now. The bridge takes you quickly onto Sheikh Zayed Road and the Marina is really just a few minutes by car. You do not get that hectic city energy here but you are never far away if you want it. The Beach at JBR is right over the water too which means weekends can be as busy or as quiet as you like. Sometimes you really do forget your phone or just find yourself sitting and watching the city lights for a while.
So whether you are looking for a comfortable place to settle down in Dubai or maybe just a second home that actually feels like a home not a hotel this three bedroom at Bluewaters Residences gives you space to spread out and enjoy real life but also a connection to everything exciting about Dubai.
