Some homes just give you that feeling as soon as you walk in and honestly this three bedroom apartment in Seventh Heaven at Al Barari did that for me. Standing by the window you get a sense of how green everything is out here. There are gardens everywhere you look. Al Barari feels almost hidden in the middle of Dubai which still surprises me every time I visit. You would not expect this much nature so close to the city but here you really do get that rare mix.
So you step into the apartment and the first thing you notice is the light. The floor to ceiling windows just let everything pour in which means there is always something interesting playing with the shadows depending on the time of day. I even just knocked around for a bit watching the sun move across the room. Sometimes in these places you get the sense they were designed for show but this one feels like it was really meant to be lived in. You can imagine coming home after work and just leaving the day behind for a bit. It is genuinely peaceful.
The kitchen actually sits in a spot that makes the whole space feel open and connected and not just set off to the side. I kept thinking this is the kind of kitchen you could actually cook in not just heat something up. Imagine tossing together a simple dinner while chatting with friends in the next room or stepping out to the terrace because everything just sort of flows together. The terrace here is not just tacked on but becomes almost another room. On a nice evening you could sit and look out over the gardens which go on longer than you expect and in the distance you will spot the Burj rising above it all. That view might just stop you for a moment. It did for me.
Honestly a lot of places say they bring the outdoors in but here you feel it for real. More than half of Al Barari is actually green space. You see kids biking along the tree lined streets or even families wandering to The Farm for breakfast on weekends. There is a calmness to this community you rarely find in Dubai. It is not just about the gardens though. You are close to some of the best facilities around. The Heart and Soul Spa is hidden in a little corner of the neighbourhood and it is the kind of place you might visit one morning then end up spending all afternoon. The Body Language health club has become a favourite for a lot of residents and you feel the community vibe everywhere.
The apartment is set up in a way that you get space where it matters. The built up area is just over 4800 square feet but it never feels cavernous or cold. Each of the three bedrooms has enough room to actually spread out plus the windows let you wake up with a view instead of staring at another building. You will notice the little details like glass balustrades pulling your gaze further outside or the way the balconies almost wrap you in greenery. The main thing is it just feels easy to be here.
For anyone interested in a principal residence in Dubai or maybe just a perfect second home close to everything but with that head clearing quiet, this apartment really fits the bill. Al Barari gives you a slower pace even though the airport or Downtown Dubai are only a short drive away. And the best thing is it is not too fancy or intimidating. It is beautiful but you could walk in with your coffee in hand and just feel at home.
