Some places just feel like summer, even on days when the sky is overcast. When I first walked into this three bedroom apartment at Rimal in Jumeirah Beach Residence, that was the feeling I got. There is something about being so high up, above the city buzz, where you catch views of the open sea and see the Dubai Eye turning slowly in the distance. All at once it is this sense of space and quiet, even though you are right above one of the liveliest beach spots in Dubai.
The apartment itself is generously laid out. Nineteen hundred square feet really does mean room to live. There is enough wall space for bookshelves and big art, and still space left for play or maybe yoga in the morning if you like a quiet start. The bedrooms have what I would call easy sunlight mornings. Even on days when you plan to sleep in, there is this soft light that sort of nudges you awake. The built in wardrobes are proper ones, not just a few cupboards shoved into a corner. Storage is never a stress here.
Honestly what I noticed about the kitchen was that it is not just there for show. It is semi closed, which I think is a nice middle ground. There is enough of a barrier if you are making a big family meal but you never feel shut away from what is happening in the main living space. Sometimes you want to cook while chatting to someone at the dining table or have your music playing from the lounge and still be in the mix. The living area is wide and airy and you really notice the sea outside. It is the kind of thing that gets into your everyday. I stood out on the balcony for a good while just watching sunlight sketch lines across the waves and lights on the water as evening came on. It sort of makes winding down automatic.
There are three bathrooms, all good sized and actually practical, with bright tiles and enough space for more than a towel or toothbrush. If you have a family or guests who crash on the sofa for a few days, it just makes life a bit smoother. Plus there is a proper maid's room tucked away, not just an afterthought, and if you do not need it as a staff space it could be handy for storage or even a little home office space or craft spot.
Central air conditioning is one of those things you miss the moment you do not have it. Here it works quietly, just lets you enjoy the space any time of year. The apartment comes unfurnished, so you are free to make it your own. Sometimes that is a nice feeling, turning the key and knowing you can pick every chair, every lamp. One car parking spot is included, right in the building so you are never far from your front door, even in the summer sun.
Living in Rimal 5 means you are just minutes from the sand. I have seen families head down every evening, kids with buckets and towels draped over their shoulders. The Walk at JBR is just downstairs, so if you want to grab coffee or try new food or just wander among the shops after dinner, it is all right there. The building itself is full of thoughtful touches. The lobby is always tidy, someone at the desk with a kind hello, and you feel that little extra bit of security with concierge and staff twenty four hours a day. Fitness centers are downstairs, plus a swimming pool where you can hear kids splashing and sometimes, on quieter mornings, you can have a swim all to yourself. There are landscaped courtyards and fountains if you want a peaceful corner to read or just watch the palm trees sway.
You are within easy reach of Marina Walk too, which is a good option when you want a change of scenery for morning runs or lazy weekend breakfasts. Life in JBR is its own rhythm. Some days are vibrant, others are peaceful.
The best part is this apartment is ready for you to move in. No waiting. You just turn the key and start calling it home. The only way to feel if it is right is to come see it with your own eyes.
