Some apartments in Dubai feel different the moment you walk in. This one in Opera Grand is like that. I actually found myself pausing near the front door just to look out at the view before walking further inside. You will notice the Burj Khalifa standing right in front of you and the Dubai Fountains moving down below. Most photos will not do it justice. It is one of those sights that just makes the city feel even bigger and the noise almost disappears once you are up here.
This three bedroom apartment sits high above Downtown Dubai in the Opera Grand building. People talk about location all the time but this really is the heart of it. You step outside and the street feels busy but welcoming. Coffee shops stay open late. Sometimes I see people walking their dogs even at night. The Dubai Mall is just a short walk away. You might end up using it like it is your local grocery store. If you have kids there are play areas close by and honestly the school run is not too bad either with a good school only fifteen minutes by car. Early mornings with a coffee and not much traffic can actually be nice here.
Inside the home feels light and open. The layout works well for families or even if you just want extra space. A few visits back I stood by those big windows one morning and watched the city waking up. The way the sun comes in is something you notice right away. You get that soft kind of light that makes everything look fresh. The living room seems to invite you to just sit a little longer. Sometimes it is easy to forget you even own a television with a view like that.
The kitchen has everything you would expect in a luxury Dubai apartment but it also feels like a spot where you could actually cook for friends or make pancakes with the kids on a lazy weekend. All the appliances are fitted neatly so it does not feel crowded at all. You get enough counter space to spread out or just sit and chat with someone while dinner simmers. Even if you are not a big cook it still feels good just to have the option.
Each of the three bedrooms feels private and calm. There are big fitted wardrobes that swallow up all your clothes and suitcases. You get a soft carpet under your feet too. At night you might even keep the blinds open so you can see the lights on the Burj Khalifa before falling asleep. Sometimes I have stood in there just to watch the fountains running in the evenings and it has a quiet rhythm to it.
It is not just what is inside though. The Opera Grand has a podium level infinity pool that actually looks even better as the sun sets. There is a fitness center which always seems to be clean and bright. Sometimes folks bring their kids down to the play area so they can read a book or talk with neighbors. Even the barbeque spot gets some use and it is a nice way to feel part of the area.
Living here means you are always close to everything that makes Downtown Dubai special. Shopping trips are simple. Coffee runs are quick. Weekends can just be about seeing friends or exploring a different restaurant. Walks under the city lights become a regular thing.
You cannot really know if it fits until you stand here and really take it in for yourself. If you only have a question or you want to try walking through I am always here. At LuxuryProperty.com we know that finding the right place in Dubai is more than just looking at numbers or photos. It should feel comfortable every step you take.
