Some places just make you stop and look around as soon as the door closes behind you. This two bedroom apartment in Burj Khalifa, right in Downtown Dubai, does exactly that. Standing there in the foyer with the sound of the city just muffled enough, you almost forget how high up you are until you wander into the living area and those fountain views fill the entire wall. Honestly, you could almost just pull up a chair and sit by the windows for hours, especially while the Dubai Fountain show is happening below. You feel kind of tucked away but totally connected at the same time.
Let me tell you about the space. For starters, the Burj Khalifa is, of course, one of those places you can say you live in, and people just nod in disbelief for a second, but it is those little everyday details that make this apartment feel different from the usual. This is a Type F apartment, so what you get is a proper open layout. There are no awkward corners or odd pillars, just flowing space where you actually feel like moving around with a mug of coffee in the morning or watching the city wind down at night. The floors are all dark wood which adds warmth you might not expect in such a sleek tower, and when the lights go down outside, it just feels comfortable in here. The curved glass kind of pulls your eye straight to the skyline, and actually, the view from the living area might be the best seat in the whole city for the fountain shows. Floor to ceiling windows all the way along that side, so light just floods in.
The kitchen is designed to be lived in, not just looked at. You can shut it away for some privacy—great if you are having friends over and want to keep the space tidy—or open it right into the dining area. The appliances are all high quality, honestly the kind you would actually want to use if you like to cook a bit or at least pretend to on the weekends. Even the little details, like there is a chiller tucked into the living area for drinks, feel thoughtfully done.
Walking into the master bedroom, it gets even better. It is spacious, yes, but what really gets you is the dressing room. It is the sort of space where you could organize everything properly for once instead of piling things up. The bathroom is one of those hotel style ones that is actually generous with the space. There is a proper walk in shower and a tub that looks right out over Downtown if you ever need a long soak after work. Two sinks as well, so no one has to wait in the morning rush. The second bedroom is just as comfortable, with built in storage and its own bathroom with a good sized tub. It is nice when a place is not just about the master suite but gets the rest of the details right too.
One of the best things about living here, honestly, is how easy it is to get around. One elevator ride and you have direct access to Dubai Mall. There are always dinner options, and even late at night, there is a decent buzz outside. On weekends, you see a few families checking out the fountains, people wandering with coffee from one of the nearby cafes. Most days, the Downtown Dubai community feels lively, and the walkways below are always busy with folks coming and going. The building itself has that secure, quiet feeling, though, so it makes for a good escape when you need a break from it all.
If furniture is a concern, you do have the option to take the place furnished or keep it simple and bring your own things. Some of the pieces shown are from the French house Roche Bobois, which you do not see much of around here.
I could tell you more about the extras, but really the only way to know if it is right is to come and have a look for yourself. You might even find yourself wanting to spend a little more time just standing by the windows. If you have questions or just want to get a feel for it in person, reach out any time.
