1 Bedroom Apartment in Burj Khalifa Area, Downtown Dubai

Some places just slow you down as soon as you get inside. I felt that here with this one bedroom apartment in Burj Khalifa. There is something about the way the light comes in that catches you for a second. Honestly I stood by the window and just looked out at Dubai. That skyline view really does stretch for miles and you get the Arabian Sea way out in the distance. No matter what is going on in your day even when Downtown Dubai is buzzing below it feels quiet up here in the sky.

The living area itself is just around eleven hundred square feet so nothing feels cramped at all. You walk in and the hardwood floors feel like they belong in a proper home not just something designed to impress. The kitchen is tucked a bit off the main space which I like because if you enjoy cooking it feels like a place to actually cook not just heat up takeaway. Whoever planned it went with Miele appliances which if you know them the details just make life a bit easier every day. It is the kind of kitchen where you might actually try a recipe you have been bookmarking. And if you want morning coffee without fuss you have the space to do that too and watch the city wake up. That is one of my favourite parts actually. Watching the city shift from night to day from way up here just never gets old.

When you walk through the rest of the apartment you notice there is a sense of everything feeling finished and neat without being too showy. Sometimes more expensive places almost make you nervous to touch things but this one just feels inviting. The bedroom is a good size with plenty of space for a proper bed and still room to move around. You could even set up a chair by the window and read or just daydream. Storage is sorted too nothing over the top just enough so you are not tripping over shoes or searching for a place to hang a jacket. The bathroom is modern clean lines not too busy plenty of space for your own things and the light is always right for getting ready in the morning.

Then there are all the things that come with Burj Khalifa living. Honestly the pools are what people talk about first but for me it is probably the sky lounge. I ended up just sitting there for a bit last time I was here and watched the sun set while the whole city lit up. You get to use the fitness centre too which some people love and others like to say they mean to use. If you ever want to really treat yourself there are perks at the Armani Hotel which is right here. There is a sense of privacy and calm everywhere in the building even though right outside you have Dubai Mall just next door and the Dubai Opera close enough to catch a show on a whim. Actually if you like to walk you can get to most downtown favourites without even thinking about calling a taxi.

You will notice everyday life feels a bit easier up here. The security team is always friendly the lobby is never too crowded you see families sometimes just coming home or chatting downstairs. The neighbourhood gets lively at night but up in the apartment you forget about the world for a bit. Sometimes on weekends you see people just wandering about the boulevard or sitting at a coffee shop for hours not really looking at their phones. You can do the same or just sit back and watch the view from your own place.

Places like this are really about how they feel more than the list of features. You have to walk in and see for yourself.
