Some places just make you want to slow down and watch the city for a while. This two bedroom apartment at Boulevard Point in Downtown Dubai really gives you that feeling. When I first walked in, the bright open living spaces kind of surprised me. You almost do not expect so much calm right in the centre of all the Downtown Dubai energy. The first thing that caught my eye was the view. Real floor to ceiling windows do all the work here. You stand in the living room or by the kitchen and you are just looking right at the Burj Khalifa. Honestly sometimes it is easy to forget you are indoors especially when the afternoon sun spills in. If you are anything like me you might just find yourself pausing with a cup of coffee in hand and forgetting whatever you were planning to do next.
The kitchen has a little more than you would think at first glance. Granite worktops are a nice touch especially if you like actually cooking from scratch. There is plenty of storage and the whole space feels like you could really call it your own. It is not the kind of kitchen that is all show and no substance. I opened a few cupboards and they are these deep practical spaces. If you like having friends over or family visiting there is room for everything. Actually with the open plan here you can talk to people in the living room while you are prepping dinner. It just feels easy.
The terrace is what most people ask about and I have to say I spent a while out there just looking at the city. You get the full Downtown feeling with the Dubai Fountain right below and Burj Khalifa standing close. It is genuinely a proper spot for evenings or weekends even if you just bring out a book or want to watch the city lights with some music on. Entertaining out here makes sense because there is space to actually move around. Sometimes you can even catch little bits of the fountain show without having to squeeze by the crowds.
Both bedrooms surprised me with their size and the built in wardrobes do make life feel simpler. No trying to figure out where you will put everything. The master bedroom is the one with the ensuite bathroom and standing by the window you mostly get more of that city view. Even on quieter days there is always something to watch or just enjoy the light changing as the day goes on. The second bedroom works well if you have kids or need a study. I have seen both setups and it really depends what you need more.
One of the best things about being here is really just how central you are. Dubai Mall is so close that you can just walk over for shopping groceries or even if you just want to grab lunch at Eataly. Waitrose is also within walking distance which makes weekly grocery runs pretty painless. You kind of start realizing that you are saving time daily because everything is close. I have seen people with small families here and it works well especially since GEMS Wellington is a short drive away. On the nicer days you see a lot of people out walking kids or just heading towards the fountains or a coffee shop nearby.
Downtown Dubai honestly has something for everyone. You get that classic city energy at all hours but your apartment feels like your own private spot up above it. I have been here at different times of day and sometimes you almost forget your phone just standing by the window. If you are looking for proper Burj Khalifa views not just a glimpse between buildings you will want to take a look. You are close to everything but it also feels tucked away in its own way.
