Some homes just make it easy to settle in right from the front door. That is the honest feeling I got wandering through this one bedroom apartment at BLVD Central in Downtown Dubai. There is something about a home where you do not feel the rush. Maybe it is the quiet atmosphere in the tower or maybe it is the warm light coming in through the balcony windows while the city keeps moving outside. Either way, you really get that feeling that this could be the place for your own routines and slow mornings.
To start with, the location is actually right in the middle of Downtown Dubai although you almost would not believe it when you are inside. BLVD Central sits along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. You step outside and it is alive with energy. You are walking distance to Dubai Mall which is honestly great whether you just need to pick up some essentials or you want an afternoon of shopping. You can see the Burj Khalifa from so many angles too and sometimes you just look up and think wow that really is right here. Lots of local eateries and coffee shops line the boulevard and it makes grabbing a latte before work or heading out for dinner with friends almost too easy.
When you come inside the apartment you are greeted by a welcoming space with a fully equipped kitchen. It does not just look modern with those shiny appliances sitting under the bright cabinets. It actually feels like somewhere you can cook real meals. The stove and fridge feel new enough, the dishwasher definitely helps if you are not a fan of cleaning up, and the microwave tucked neatly on the side just makes life smooth. Sometimes you want to cook, sometimes you just want to throw a snack in. This kitchen handles both without any drama.
Then there is the living and dining area. It all feels open so you are not boxed in. There is a comfortable sofa ready for you to flop down and catch up on your favorite TV shows or invite someone over for a chat. The dining table is that perfect kind of size where you will actually want to sit and eat instead of just going to the couch. For me, the best thing is the balcony that opens up from here. I actually stood out there for a bit and just watched the city lights come on in the evening. It is just a sweet spot for your morning coffee or that last bit of fresh air before bed.
The bedroom is a proper retreat with a king size bed that truly looks like it is built for snoozing in. There is plenty of storage tucked away so you do not have to worry about suitcases or shoes lying around. Also, there is a private balcony just for this room. From here, you get your own personal view of the Dubai Fountain which honestly did make me reach for my phone to take a few photos. It is a small luxury every day.
The bathroom is spacious with a tub and shower combined. After a busy day out and about around Downtown, sinking into a warm bath just feels right. Everything is neat, simple and nothing is trying too hard.
BLVD Central itself is really easy living. Amenities include a swimming pool and a separate pool just for kids which is a nice touch if you ever have family visiting. The gym is well equipped and people actually use it which always tells you a bit about a building. With security always around you just do not have to think twice about your peace of mind.
Most days you will probably walk everywhere. The Dubai Opera House is so close that you might end up going more than you planned. The buzz from the Fountain or the sound of laughter from nearby cafes in the evenings sometimes drifts up to the apartment and you just feel connected to the city even while you are tucked away in your own calm space.
I think places like this are best seen in person. Sometimes photos cannot really show how relaxed it feels or how good the spaces flow together.
