Some homes just slow you down right when you walk in. This two bedroom apartment in Ashjar at Al Barari does exactly that. I remember the first time I visited I just stood near the window for a while. There is this soft natural light that spills into the living area and honestly it feels different from anywhere else in Dubai. Out the window you see trees instead of buildings and sometimes you forget you are actually in a city at all.
You have got two proper bedrooms here both feeling private but still open. There is this flow to the place where everything just connects. The living area and kitchen blend together so if you are cooking pasta or just making coffee it still feels like you are still part of things. I noticed the kitchen is not just for show. Real Miele appliances are in there so you could make something proper or just warm up leftovers and either way it works. The cupboards and the walk in wardrobes actually give you space that you would use not just clutter.
The whole apartment sits up high so when you walk out onto the terrace you get that full sweeping view of the green. Birds sometimes dip in and out of the leaves if you are up early enough to notice. In the evenings it gets quiet and you hear little more than a breeze. Even though you are still in Dubai this part feels like its own world especially with all that green. More than half of Al Barari is just trees gardens and walking paths. You see people out with their dogs or heading to the small community gym or just enjoying how clear the air feels.
This is very much a place for someone who wants a quieter life but does not want to feel cut off from anything. The Farm is the restaurant nearby where the food actually tastes as good as people say. Sometimes you see families having breakfast on the weekends or groups of friends sitting outside with coffee. There is also the Heart and Soul Spa if you ever feel like you need a bit of time for yourself and the Body Language health club so fitness is never far. The nice thing is all the amenities just blend into the community so you never feel like anything is forced.
If you have a small family or maybe you work from home and just crave natural light this place will make a lot of sense. There is so much space at two thousand five hundred fifty one square feet. You do not have to keep everything tucked away. The neutral colors inside do not shout for attention either which makes it easy to settle in and make the space yours. Sometimes you find yourself just sitting on the terrace watching the light shifting through the trees or hearing the sound of the water features somewhere nearby.
Even the drive in is different as you wind past landscaped gardens before reaching your cluster. Ashjar keeps things low rise which means life feels less crowded and you actually get to know a few neighbors if you feel like it. There is a true sense of community that you do not always get elsewhere. Little things there like the friendly smiles at the coffee shop or the caretaker remembering your name end up being what you remember most.
Renting in Ashjar means you are choosing peace and plenty of fresh air without giving up any comfort. You are in Al Barari and the city is just a short drive but sometimes you will forget about all that when you are home. I think these are the kinds of places where you just end up spending more time outside reading or catching up with family.
The only way to see if it truly fits is to come by and walk through. If something catches your eye or you just want to talk about what makes Ashjar different you can reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we just hope to make your move feel as easy as it should be.
