Some homes just have a certain hush to them. You know when you open the door and you can almost hear your own footsteps softer, like the house itself wants you to take a slower look. This one here on 91 Crois Summit in Westmount is honestly like that. I walked in and found myself pausing. Maybe it is the light it really pours in from those tall windows nobody can ignore or maybe it is that every space feels wide and fresh and still kind of warm at the same time.
You would be right to expect space in this part of Montreal, but I have to say, six bedrooms really is a treat. There is plenty of room for a big family or if friends drop by from out of town. Each bedroom is its own spot for quiet or for just sinking into the bed after a long day. I noticed the soft light in the mornings sneaks in quietly it is the kind that nudges you awake rather than shouting. The master suite is up high on the third floor which gives you good privacy and a terrace that feels like your own sky porch. There is another terrace upstairs next to the family room so if you need a break or a breath on your own you will have somewhere to go. Sometimes homes with many rooms feel chopped up but here everything connects gently. The layout just works for the everyday and nobody is too far from a sunny view.
What I liked too is how modern everything feels but still inviting. White walls and smooth lines set a simple mood and then you catch the glow of wood floors underfoot everywhere you walk. You will find four bathrooms more than enough for the morning rush and all spotless and easy. The two extra powder rooms are just handy especially when everyone seems to come over at once.
And about the kitchen sometimes show homes have kitchens that look nice but you would never really use. Here the kitchen feels ready for action. The Miele appliances fit right in as if they have always been here you can tell someone liked to cook and wanted enough prep space for real meals not just for an espresso in the morning but for long evenings with family or friends. The Calacatta countertops are just beautiful but you also will not feel nervous putting things down it feels sturdy and solid like a kitchen should feel for gatherings that go on and on. The wooden cabinets give a little warmth and make the kitchen feel homey. You might find yourself looking out the window while chopping veggies, maybe just enjoying the green outside for a second.
Speaking of green the lot outside is actually generous for Westmount and you will notice it even more so if you step out on the terraces with your morning coffee. The neighborhood has this settled feel old trees line the streets and some evenings kids bike past or neighbors nod to each other on walks. There are parks not far off and coffee shops around if you ever want a little time out of the house. It is peaceful you forget you are so close to downtown Montreal at times.
One thing here is you get privacy without feeling cut off. The villa itself is tucked in enough so you do not hear the traffic but you are still near good schools nice shops and even those small groceries where the owner knows your name. If you feel like going out downtown is close enough to make dinner plans easy but honestly some evenings you will just want to stay in and watch the light change through the windows.
I know people say every home is unique but this six bedroom villa in Westmount genuinely has a mood you will want to feel for yourself. Sometimes you step inside and right away know it could be home.
