Some homes just get under your skin as soon as you walk through the door. This three bedroom townhouse in Rockwood, Damac Hills, did that for me. I caught myself taking a slow breath right at the entrance, letting my eyes wander around the living room which feels a bit more open than what you usually find in this neighbourhood. They pushed it out just enough so it actually gives you that family space you always look for but hardly ever find in a townhouse in Damac Hills.
You will pick up on the quality here right away. The owner put a lot of thought into the upgrades and you can just feel that care in the finishes. The walls look crisp and the flooring never feels cold under your feet. There is a private pool tucked into the landscaped garden out back, and if you try standing there in the late afternoon sun you will see how the water picks up the light and starts to shimmer almost silver around the edges. It is not a massive pool but honestly it is exactly the size you want for a proper cool off after a workout. Or just to float for a while if that is your thing. You have this modern little pagoda out here with huge glass doors that pull all the way open, letting the whole garden become another living space. That is great in winter evenings, maybe with a few friends over or just you with a bit of music and a mug of coffee. Sometimes you honestly forget your phone for a bit and just sit out there.
Inside, the kitchen is not like most in these Rockwood townhouses. The owner renovated it completely so it feels both modern and genuinely usable. All the appliances are built in and you can tell the designer actually cared about making it a space you want to cook in. There is loads of counter space, cupboards you do not have to reach or drag up a step for, and the whole area feels part of the living room instead of boxed off. The result is a kitchen you use for real life and not just for show.
One of the things I kept coming back to is the glass staircase right in the centre of the house. The lighting glows under the steps at night giving a soft highlight that feels warm instead of flashy. It also lets natural daylight filter in so the area beneath does not end up dark and closed in. There is seriously smart storage under the stairs too which families or just anyone with hobbies will love. Upstairs, the bedrooms feel soft and inviting. Morning light finds its way in without blasting you out of bed and actually gives you that gentle start to the day most people hope for. Each room feels just the right size—easy to settle into without excess empty corners.
Living in Rockwood, Damac Hills, is all about that friendly neighbourhood energy. You hear laughter from the petting zoo on weekends and you sometimes see families setting up at the lake to fish. The tennis and football courts are always easy to reach if you are feeling sporty and for something livelier the Malibu Lagoon Pool is just a few minutes away. Most evenings you notice kids are biking around or neighbours are out with their dogs. The local coffee shop is right there which makes a quick Saturday morning run too easy to ignore.
The plot does not take up your whole weekend to look after either. You have space for a garden but you can keep it simple or add touches if you are into landscaping. With a built up area of two thousand five hundred twenty square feet and a total plot of about three thousand four hundred square feet, the inside and outside feel balanced. Parking? Sorted. It is right at your front door for stress free arrivals.
Really, words barely do this place justice. There is a comfort here that feels natural and not forced. Sometimes you walk through a home and just know it is easy to live in. If you have questions or even just want to walk around and see how it feels for yourself, just let me know.
