Some places just put you at ease from the second you step in and this one bedroom apartment at The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah really has that effect. I found myself actually slowing down as I walked inside noticing how everything feels open but not empty just comfortable. You get that quiet calm that sometimes big city living tries to take away and honestly it is pretty refreshing.
First thing you spot is how much natural light pours in through these big windows. I actually stood in front of them for a bit just checking out the sea views mixed with the Dubai city skyline. You get plenty of the blue days and sometimes in the evenings the city lights just start to flicker on and you get that buzz from the city but still feel miles away from all the rush.
The whole space comes fully furnished and serviced by St Regis which gives you this low key five star feel without being too showy. You do not have to think about getting furniture or worrying about maintenance which might sound like an ad but actually matters on days when you just want to relax after work or cook at home. Speaking of meals the kitchen is tucked off to one side but never feels blocked off. They have got Elba appliances built in so if you actually enjoy cooking or just like to keep things fresh in the fridge you are set up. The sink is German made too so you get that solid feel every time you use it.
You can tell someone designed this for people who want to do more than just sit around. There is a wide breakfast bar and it is really perfect whether you are making coffee in the morning or having friends over later. I could imagine tossing down a book or your laptop here just as easily as setting up dinner for two. Storage is surprisingly good for a one bedroom so if you have a bit of a shopping habit or you host a lot you will not be short on space.
The main living area just feels right. You get a big L shaped sofa that looks out at the view with a smart TV opposite for quiet nights in. The furniture is tasteful and honestly makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. Sometimes places are pretty but never feel lived in but here you actually want to settle down and breathe out.
Something small but nice the entrance has a powder room and a hidden storage room so guests never see your bags or all those bits and pieces we always end up collecting. Just makes keeping things tidy so much easier.
The bedroom continues that same feel. More of those views from another set of windows and the light in the morning here just works. There is a comfy bed bedside tables and a chest of drawers and another TV which is great if you ever feel like winding down on a Sunday morning without leaving bed. Storage is smartly done with a walk in closet and dressing area that leads to an ensuite bathroom more like a hotel than an apartment. You get a big standalone tub walk in shower his and hers sinks the works. It is the kind of bathroom where you actually want to take your time.
Living in The Palm Tower means you are part of the Palm Jumeirah community. Coffee shops and little stores are just around the corner. Some evenings you will see people walking or kids heading out for ice cream. The St Regis connection also means the service and amenities are a notch above what you would expect. Every time you come home you really notice the difference.
Honestly it is the kind of place that quietly grows on you. The photos never tell the full story so the only real way to know if it feels like home is to come take a walk through.
