Some places just have a different kind of calm when you step inside. I got that instantly here at this one bedroom apartment in The Fairways at The Views. Maybe it is the way the light comes in through the windows or how the community itself feels tucked away from all the bustle you normally get in Dubai. Either way, you almost end up breathing a little slower and standing at the balcony for a while before you even take your shoes off.
This is a lower floor apartment which is nice if you prefer being closer to ground, and honestly you notice the green around you more when you are not so high up. I looked out over the balcony and could see a bit of the park and some of the landscaping that The Greens and Views Park community is pretty well known for. Sometimes you even catch people out with their dogs or just strolling around with a coffee. The area is really popular with people who just want everything nearby but do not love noise. It never feels too crowded but you will always see someone you recognize if you have been in the area for a while.
Inside, the living space is bigger than you might expect from a one bedroom. Furniture actually fits without feeling cramped and there is room for those of us who always end up buying more plants than we need. The balcony is right off the main room so it is easy to step out in the evenings or just sip your breakfast coffee while watching the sun hit the trees. It makes you look at your phone a little less because the outside actually feels inviting.
The kitchen has an honest to goodness cooking vibe, not just a place to heat stuff up. Partially open and fitted with all the basics like an oven, cooking range and a built in dishwasher which you do start to appreciate once you are settled in. If you like to experiment with recipes, or just want somewhere you could actually see yourself baking late at night, this kind of layout just feels right.
The bedroom surprised me—it is proper sized. Some places try to squeeze everything into a tiny room but here you have space. And there is an ensuite for a little extra privacy. Most people do not talk about this but it matters when you are winding down for the night. You will also notice the quiet, partly because of thick walls but also because the way The Fairways is built keeps things peaceful.
The building itself? Hard to complain. There are a few pools, each with its own energy. The bigger one gets some sun through most of the day which I like for weekend lounging while another one is shaded and seems to be where people read or get a few quiet laps in. The gym has enough kit to do a proper workout and never feels chaotic. Plus if you have pets, the whole community is pet friendly so you see dogs of all sizes—and even a few cats going for brave outdoor walks. There is a sense of neighborhood here that actualy works for families, singles, and just about anyone who likes coming home to calm at the end of the day.
As for what is nearby, honestly, pretty much everything. The Greens is close to all sorts of fun and useful stuff. The school and kindergarten are just a short walk if you need them. The tennis courts are busy in the evenings and sometimes you see kids biking around as it gets cooler. For bigger days out, you are about two minutes from Sheikh Zayed Road, which opens up the whole city. Mall of the Emirates is around ten minutes if you feel like a movie or shopping, and Dubai International Airport is not far either, maybe twenty five minutes if traffic is kind. That kind of connection makes life simple, especially if you work in different parts of Dubai or like bouncing around on weekends.
I always feel that you need to stand in a space yourself before deciding if it is right. Every apartment is different, every view gives something unique. If you are searching for a real home in a well loved spot like The Fairways, it is worth a look. If you have questions or want to walk through, just let me know.
