The main streets are never too busy and most days you will end up seeing someone you recognise at the grocery. A morning walk feels pretty safe and the air is just easier here especially in the evenings when the sun comes down slow. 

Some people want a busy city vibe but I think the people who pick a villa in Arabian Ranches are looking for a certain kind of quiet. You will notice the difference when you drive through the gates. It is one of those communities in Dubai where you can actually let kids ride around on their bikes and not worry every second. There are pools and tennis courts and the golf club never feels like a showy place. It is just part of the week if you want it.
