7 Bedroom Penthouse in XXII Carat, Palm Jumeirah

Some homes grab your attention before you even make it through the door and this seven bedroom penthouse at XXII Carat on Palm Jumeirah absolutely has that effect. On my first tour I remember pausing right at the entrance because the sunlight just pours in from both sides and you immediately get this feeling that the whole place has been built to breathe. Not too formal or cold at all. People always ask about open plan living and this one does it in a way that actually feels natural. You walk in and see a double height reception room that does not try too hard but still looks incredible with soft colors and textures. Then there's the dining area that feels close enough to the action. You can imagine long family meals or friends coming over and everyone kind of drifting in and out. I spent a bit of time just wandering between the living room and the kitchen. That kitchen really does feel ready to cook in by the way not just something to show off. Miele appliances everywhere of course and even a luxurious LaCornue range that I would probably end up using more than I should. It is the kind of kitchen that encourages real family breakfasts or experimental weekend lunches.

What stood out for me was the space you get just to unwind. Tucked away you will find a proper home cinema that honestly, makes you forget where you are for a bit. I can imagine movie marathons or just hiding away in there during the hottest summer afternoons. There's a private study too plus a library that is so elegant you kind of wish it rained more often in Dubai just to cozy up there. Every bedroom is its own retreat with built in wardrobes and private sitting corners that are way more inviting than most. Each has its own bathroom so no one ever needs to rush in the mornings. That master suite is something else though. Big walk in dressing room and a bathroom where you just have to linger a bit. The centerpiece is this bathtub carved out of one single piece of stone and it makes even a rushed weekday feel like a holiday.

One of my favorite spots is upstairs on the roof terrace. Up there you find a lounge that almost calls for laid back evenings. The rooftop pool is not just for show either. You can picture yourself cooling off there while the skyline starts to light up in the evenings. There is an open air kitchen with a barbecue so outdoor dinners are pretty much always an option. What really stays with you is the sense of space and the way every window gives you a glimpse of either the Arabian Gulf or Dubai's skyline. Sometimes you just catch yourself gazing out and losing track of time.

The clubhouse itself is quiet and private even though you are right on the Palm's western crescent. When you step outside you'll notice the air feels just a bit fresher. Beach access is close and honestly you could spend the whole day around the Palm between promenades, coffee shops and weekends at the water. The XXII Carat community is secure and you always see people out for walks or enjoying a slow weekend breakfast with friends.

At twelve million or so it is not for everyone of course but for someone who wants something both refined and really lived in this penthouse does feel special.
