Honestly this place is really something. It is not just big which it is at more than sixty four hundred square feet inside with another four thousand outside it is also really thought through. Every corner feels like someone paid attention. I noticed the way the art gallery foyer kind of calms you down the minute you step in. Hands find the Nanz ebony handles which feel heavy and right and the ocean views spill in before you can even realize. You just breathe a little deeper. 

Art deco is big in Miami but here it feels a bit different. It is not loud. It is more about a certain quiet confidence. The terrazzo floors from Italy are cool underfoot and the entertaining spaces just make you want to invite friends over. The dining area really can fit everyone probably up to fourteen if you are thinking of bigger gatherings or the occasional big family dinner. I actually just pictured a lazy afternoon where you cook for real in the Molteni kitchen which is kind of a dream setup especially backed up by those Miele appliances. That bit just feels easy. Like you could try something you have not cooked since last summer and it would still work out.

Living in Faena House really is something else. The building itself is kind of a landmark in Miami Beach but it never feels crowded or flashy. Foster and Partners got it right. It is more boutique than you would expect and you always feel like you are part of the place not just dropping by. Sometimes you spot kids on bikes by the beach or walk down for a coffee nearby and then come back up just to watch the sun move over the ocean. By the time the city lights come on you are glad to be home. 

The thing is you just have to see it and take a few minutes to stand by the windows and let the place wash over you. Pictures do not really do it.
