Some places have that way of slowing you right down the second you walk in. That is honestly the feeling here at 7717 Atlantic Way in Altos Del Mar Miami. The breeze coming off the Atlantic hits just right as you step up to the front door and it kind of sets the mood for the whole house. You can stand out front and actually hear the surf rolling in. It is a feeling you don't get from just looking at photos online. Here you are right on the sand but still tucked within this peaceful gated area people around here really do call home.
The house is spread across three stories with a terrace up top that is honestly a bit of a showstopper. You get wide open views all the way to the horizon. Maybe that is what everyone means when they talk about life on the Atlantic Ocean. This is the kind of spot where mornings just start easy because how can you rush when everything around you feels this chilled
Inside it feels bright and open. It was renovated not that long ago in 2017 so everything feels sharp and fresh. Even the floors are set up to keep the inside cool. I still remember opening those slide away glass doors on the first floor and just letting the outside blend right in. That part of the house has real-life luxuries like a home theater which actually feels cozy not stuffy. There is a bar as well and an office with a view just in case you need to sneak in a bit of work. The family room is where everyone seems to end up to just hang out or catch a game on TV and I noticed the light in there is brilliant in the afternoons.
Step further outside and the backyard really opens up. There's a heated pool that is just about perfect for relaxing any time of year plus a jacuzzi tucked nearby for the chilly nights Miami occasionally gets. The cabana sits right by and it is easy to picture grilling with friends on a long Saturday or just listening to some music while the kids shoot hoops on the private basketball court. The whole yard is fenced and manicured with actual grass under your feet which in Miami is not something you find every day. You really can let the dogs or kids run around without worry.
Moving upstairs the second floor is where the entertaining happens so picture big dinners around the custom built kitchen and long nights with a fire crackling in the living room. Every detail from the wall to ceiling glass to the wine cellar is set up for people who like having friends over but nothing feels over the top here. There is another huge terrace where you can step out and check the colors at sunset. Someone told me once this is the best spot to watch the clouds roll past Miami Beach and I honestly believe it.
The bedrooms stretch out along a pathway that feels almost hidden away from the rest of the house. These are real suites not just places to sleep at the end of the day. The bathrooms are crisp and private and the light in the mornings turns everything golden. On the third floor the owners master suite gets its own private terrace that looks straight out over the ocean. I stood there for a while and could barely hear anything except the water it is that kind of quiet.
The neighborhood is calm most of the time. People wave on their morning walks. You are right by great restaurants and only a few minutes from Bal Harbour if you feel like shopping or grabbing coffee. Miami really is at your doorstep but it never feels too busy here.
If you are looking for that oceanfront Miami villa life but still want somewhere that feels private and real this place might have that rare mix. The only way to see if it fits you is to come walk through yourself. Let me know if you are curious or just want to see it in person. At LuxuryProperty.com we always try to keep things simple and relaxed for you.
