Some places have a kind of calm you notice right away. This waterfront two bed apartment at Henley Apartments in Hammersmith caught me off guard a bit. You walk in and for a second you just want to stand still and watch the Thames outside the window. There is all that London energy around you but here you get a quieter pocket.
This spot is part of Fulham Reach which is a bit of a hidden gem on the Hammersmith riverfront. Henley Apartments itself is hard to miss with its rounded towers and modern touches and this particular apartment sits high enough that you get those wide London views both river and skyline. You see it first in the living area where the floor to ceiling windows just wrap right around you. Afternoon light hits differently here. I actually lingered by the glass for a while and caught myself counting boats on the river below. It feels open and private at the same time which is something you do not always find in the city.
The balcony is kind of the star here. It curves all the way along the front, stretching out from the living room and giving you space to sit and take it all in. I could imagine a small morning coffee out there or just a chair and a good book while the city keeps moving below. Both bedrooms touch the balcony too so you always have that bit of outdoors no matter where you wake up. It is easy to forget it is an apartment sometimes because of that space.
The kitchen has that European feel. It is set up for real cooking, not just to look good. Fully integrated appliances of course and the kind of counter space that makes you want to try new things for dinner. Even the small details stand out like the Villeroy and Boch fittings in the bathrooms. There are heated wall panels so you never step onto cold tile. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen, nothing flashy for the sake of it.
Living here you get access to the Tamesis Club which honestly feels more like a boutique hotel than anything else. There is a spa and wellness area that smells like eucalyptus and lavender. The indoor swimming pool has a sort of blue hush in the mornings and there is a top notch gym that is never overcrowded either. The virtual golf room is something my dad would talk about for weeks. And then they have a private screening room and a Residents Lounge where it is easy to imagine just staying in on a rainy night. You never feel like you need to leave if you do not want to.
But outside is pretty great too. The Thames path is just downstairs so go for a jog or just walk and watch the dogs and runners go by. The Blue Boat is my go to for Sunday roasts honestly and Harris and Hoole is where you grab a quick coffee. River Café is a proper treat and you can walk home feeling a bit spoiled. And because it's Hammersmith you are still close enough to theatres galleries and shopping that you get all the best bits of London without losing that easy riverside pace.
The place is just about finding your rhythm I think. It is set up for both busy days and quiet mornings. The space just works whether you are here full time or popping in whenever you make it to London. There is something comforting about knowing that behind all the style you have real practicality too. Things work the way they should. Plus security is always on hand and everything feels safe and taken care of which gives you peace of mind.
If you are after a flat that is more than just a place to sleep and store your bags this two bedroom at Henley Apartments is worth a wander in person. The views really are better standing in front of them than in any picture. If you want to ask me anything or take a slow walk through it together reach out. Sometimes you just know when a place feels right and you never really get that from the photos. At LuxuryProperty dot com we will always take your time seriously and never rush your decision.
