Some places you walk into and you can just sense they are something special. That is exactly how I felt the first time at this three bedroom villa at Zil Pasyon Residences on Felicite Island in Seychelles. You find yourself a little slower in your movements here maybe from the sea breeze or just from the calm of the island itself. Every window seems to pull your attention outside to these huge granite boulders and so much greenery it hardly feels real.

Honestly the house feels almost hidden by nature until you step closer and see the stone cladding and all the glass. Richard Hywel Evans designed it and you can sense a real care for how the villa fits the island. Walking inside there is this grounding sort of atmosphere from the wood everywhere oak under your feet in the main rooms and then you notice these soft bamboo touches on the stairs. It does not try too hard but you still feel the luxury all around without it ever feeling cold or stiff. The living and dining area is on the ground floor and it is open and honest you can have friends gathered or a quiet family meal looking out over the trees. It is hard not to just settle into a couch and lose track of time for a bit especially in the afternoons when the light drifts through. The skylight overhead is not like anything I have seen before because it is actually glass under the pool above you. Sometimes you forget and look up and catch the water moving in a strange pattern of light and it is little details like that which make it memorable.

Heading upstairs you notice the master suite feels a bit like its own island with privacy and direct access to that pool deck. The idea here is that you are not just looking out at the ocean you are above it. That deck stretches out and the pool has this infinity edge trick that visually lets the water slip off the side right into the green below. It is something you almost have to see in person to believe. A morning swim here as the sun comes up is probably the best way to start a day I can imagine. You also have another terrace coming right off the living area so you are never far from fresh air and ocean sound. Sometimes I noticed the birds just gliding by when I stood there a while. You do get these panoramic views everywhere and it is not just a sales thing—on a clear day you really see the blues of the Indian Ocean meeting the horizon and all the little islands scattered around.

The villa itself has plenty of space so nothing feels squeezed and with seven thousand eight hundred ninety square feet built up you would sort of expect that. The plot is even larger so there is a real sense of openness. It works as a main residence or a second home holiday spot and I have found it is actually easy to imagine living full time on this island with everything run by Six Senses. The resort touch adds comfort but it is never intrusive. Felicite Island is private and there is always this sense that you are a little bit disconnected from the busy world. Sometimes you see kids biking in the evenings or couples taking slow walks by the shore and the coffee here just tastes different especially with salty air around.

Getting to the villa is part of the experience you are pointed towards green and blue and quiet. And the best thing is once you arrive you pretty much never have to leave unless you want. There are services if you need them or you can just have simple routines with trips to the water or the spa. Groceries get delivered if you want and there is always a friendly face to help but no one pushes in. Some people just read for hours or try local food or explore the gardens and honestly I get it.

You can read about this villa or look at photos but really the feeling only kicks in once you stand inside and look out. If you feel curious or want to talk it through or even wander the grounds for a bit just reach out at LuxuryProperty.com. That is how you find out if this place feels right for you. No pressure just a conversation.
