Some homes just have a certain way of slowing you down the second you step inside. This two bedroom apartment at Regent Pool Club Residences Baia in Porto Montenegro surprised me that way. I found myself pausing by the window for longer than I meant to just because of the crazy wide views out over the Adriatic and the mountains beyond. You do not get this kind of coastline everywhere. From up here you spot white boats moving lazily below and sometimes a breeze comes in from the sea. Doors open right out onto a balcony big enough for a table and some chairs so if you picture yourself with a cup of coffee in the morning or even a slow dinner outside as the light turns blue that is pretty much what living here is all about.
The apartment has that smooth walk from the entrance right into the living space and everything just feels open and bright. Tino Zervudachi is the designer behind all of this and you can actually feel those extra touches if you pay attention. The wood floors are warm and the colors are gentle never too much just enough to feel calm. There are these tall windows that pull in light all day plus you get those glass doors that actually disappear so you can walk back and forth from inside to balcony almost like your living room is twice as big. Some places look pretty online but this is one where you feel it when you are standing there in person.
The bedrooms are both done up in a way that feels simple but quietly elegant. No show off stuff just clean lines and good space. There is storage right where you expect it and the bathrooms are honestly a place you might light a candle and just let the day slow down. I know sometimes you read that a kitchen is ready for real cooking but this one just feels like you would use it. Good light. Thoughtful layout. You will not be hiding away in here while everyone else is out on the terrace either. It just feels connected to everything.
One of the real treats is being right beside the Regent Hotel. You feel a bit spoiled because you can just duck into the hotel for their facilities everything from the pool deck to a good cafe or just the ease of someone sorting out details for you. This is what people mean by serviced residences. There is twenty four hour security too which makes life simple if you travel. Honestly you will find yourself being able to just lock and leave when you need to because it is all watched over.
You will also notice the community here in Porto Montenegro is lively but never overwhelming. The Marina Village is close enough for a relaxed evening walk or if you are into sailing you can see the berths and boats all lined up just steps away. Most days you see people heading out with their coffee or finding a quiet spot overlooking the water. The central location really matters for travel. Three airports are close enough to make quick trips back to London Paris or pretty much anywhere in Europe easy. Some people use their place here for regular escapes while others just live full time and make it their life. You get both options which is rare.
Honestly sometimes you almost forget your phone when you are standing on the balcony here. There is a calm you do not find everywhere and if a place to breathe and feel connected to both nature and community is what you want this is hard to beat. If you are thinking about a home on the water with a truly Mediterranean lifestyle it might be worth seeing for yourself.
