That is honestly how I felt stepping into this one bedroom apartment in West Avenue Tower in Dubai Marina. There is a familiar city vibe in the air, and you almost catch a New York feeling as you look up at the architecture from outside. It is got these beautiful tall windows that let the sun do its thing most of the day, and everywhere you turn inside there is just this steady light that feels good on the skin.

Straight away you notice that the living area is bigger than you would guess for a one bedroom. I remember the feeling when you get all that open space and it is so easy to imagine having a friend over or just kicking back with coffee in the morning. The windows actually reach almost all the way to the ceiling and as simple as it sounds, it just changes your whole mood. Sometimes you can see across to all the other towers or just watch the city slow down at the end of the day. A bit like having your own little perch up above Dubai Marina.

The kitchen is not just for show and I do mean that. Sometimes you find these apartments and the kitchen is more of an afterthought but here it actually feels like someone designed it thinking you would really cook every now and then. Smooth European-style cupboards, clean lines, and just the right amount of room so nothing feels cramped. I stood there and noticed you could have a pot on every burner and it would still feel organised.

There is only one bedroom here but it is far from small. You can actually get a family sized bed in here with plenty of walking space on both sides. And there is a walk-in closet that just keeps going so it feels like your stuff can have its own home and not spill out everywhere. There is a nice calm to this bedroom especially with all the light you get during the day. If you are the kind of person who likes to read by a window, there is already a little nook just waiting for a chair.

One of my favourite spots has to be the balcony, which is tucked away in just the right spot. Some evenings you get this soft breeze and you really do forget there are plenty of people living in the same building. Connects right from the living room but also from the bedroom, which feels sensible. I leaned on the railing for a while and realised you could just let your mind wander with all the city lights flickering on below.

Practical bits are sorted too. Parking is really simple, nothing complicated about finding your spot, and the lift is always just a few steps away which can be a bit of a relief when you get home with shopping or when you are just tired from a long day. The building is kept in great shape and has everything you expect nowadays. There is a gym downstairs, lots of machines and free weights, plus a spa that actually feels private most of the time. The pool area is another one of those places where you rarely feel crowded. You see families sometimes on weekends, friends catching a swim, but it stays peaceful. Security is always around, not in your face, but you feel their presence.

Then the lifestyle here is really sorted. Dubai Marina has almost everything you might want without needing to drive. The Mall is walking distance so you can pop out for dinner or a movie any day of the week. Coffee shops are all over and you often see people just wandering about in the evenings, kids biking or couples out for a stroll. Sheikh Zayed Road is so close that you can be almost anywhere in Dubai in no time, but you barely notice the rush from up here.

Honestly the only way to know if this place is right for you is to visit. Photos and words do not really show how it feels inside.
