On October 30th, the 4th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge officially kicked off. Also known as Dubai 30x30, the challenge encourages residents of the city to participate in at least 30 minutes of physical activity over the course of 30 days. It’s a fantastic initiative to get yourself into a regular exercise routine, and now is the perfect time to enjoy an outdoor workout. There are plenty of dedicated spaces all over the city for you to up your fitness game - here are the best outdoor gyms in Dubai.
Fit Hub La Mer

Laguna Waterpark, which forms one part of the beachfront destination known as La Mer, was recently expanded to offer even more leisure attractions, as well as an open-air fitness facility known as Fit Hub. This is a proper gymnasium, complete with instructor-led workouts and equipment. You can sign up for everything from boxing to dance classes, which also gives you access to the gym for the duration of the week and invite up to three friends or family members for a trip to the waterpark at a sizeable discount.
Al Ittihad Park
Forming the heart of the Palm Jumeirah trunk, Al Ittihad Park is a jogger’s paradise with its 3.2 km jogging track. The park is also dotted with several exercise stations, features playgrounds for children and is beautifully landscaped so you really get a sense of being one with nature during your workout. And once you’re done, you’re not too far from the beach or the wonderful Nakheel Mall for some post-workout relaxation.
The Warehouse Muscle Beach

The Warehouse is one of Dubai’s best known gyms with several locations across the city. If you want to enjoy the Warehouse experience outdoors, though, then you should head to Jumeirah Beach Residence. The appropriately named Muscle Beach is fully equipped with everything you need to work up a good sweat, and trained staff are on hand to provide assistance as needed. You can do a solo workout, have a one-on-one training session or join one of the group classes that the gym offers.

While skydiving is the main attraction here, Skydive Dubai also contains an outdoor gym area that is completely equipped and has a running track. It is a refreshing open air experience with a view of the sea, with the option to do personalised or group sessions based on your own fitness needs and preferences.
Various Residential Communities
There are too many names we could list here, so we have put them together into one overall category. Dubai Hills Estate, Town Square, Damac Hills, Mudon, Arabian Ranches and more each have their own outdoor gym spaces, many of them within beautifully landscaped parks. If you happen to live in any of these communities (or are considering moving there), then you can enjoy a fantastic workout, along with an early morning jog and an afternoon at the pool, without having to venture too far from home.
