Some homes just make you slow down before you even reach the front door. This three bedroom apartment at 3 Oxbridge Terrace in Palace Wharf has that feeling. I remember walking up the gated drive and honestly it felt a bit like arriving somewhere special just out of sight of the main city but still very much in London. You hear the soft river breeze as you walk toward the entrance and the first thing that hits you is how quiet it feels even though all of West London is close by.
Palace Wharf sits right on the River Thames and you get river views that do not feel boxed in at all. The South West aspect means you get real sunlight most of the afternoon and if you are like me you might find yourself wandering out to the terrace just to watch boats move past. Sometimes there are birds down by the edge or you notice kids cycling along the river path close by. It is one of those stretches where you see joggers out early in the morning and late into the evening and the light from the water ends up bouncing right up into the living space.
The apartment itself is freehold which is rarer in London than some people think. There are three proper double bedrooms and each bedroom has its own en suite so everyone has their own corner. The main bedroom has sunlight that actually wakes you up and the ensuite is nice enough that you do not really think of it as a separate room it just connects. Then the living area opens up in this easy way. It does not feel closed off at all. There is a double reception so you can split it for guests or just have space for yourself. I noticed there is this easy spot by the window where you can just sit and read or maybe answer a few emails while still keeping an eye on the river.
The kitchen feels like one you would want to use not just show off. It is open plan with a breakfast table right there so conversations just sort of happen. Even if you do not cook every night you still get a little excited to make coffee in the morning with the river right outside. Utility room is tucked away smartly so it is not the first thing you notice but it is there when you want to get things sorted. There is a cloakroom too which is great when you have guests popping over. Actually it just keeps things so much more organised. Comfort cooling in the principal rooms keeps it easy in the summer and the Crestron Home Automation means lights or temperature are just a tap away so you never have to fuss with things when you are busy or relaxing.
You have secure off street parking which honestly saves time and a bit of stress every single day. The on site concierge is genuinely friendly and helpful and I think that matters more than a fancy lobby sometimes. Security is 24 hours but it feels much more relaxed than you might expect. The whole place just has that boutique quiet which is hard to find with so many features close by. Sometimes it is easy to forget you are just ten minutes from Hammersmith station. River Cafe is one of those local gems for food and you are never too far from your morning coffee spot or a walk to the local shops.
Being part of West End Gate you get that classic London atmosphere without losing that riverside calm. You will see professionals heading into the city and families out for a stroll on the weekends. Sometimes when the sun is right you hardly want to leave the terrace. There is something about those west London evenings when the city lights up and you have your own quiet corner to come home to.
Honestly I think you have to stand by the window to really get it. All the details are there but it mostly just feels easy here. If you want to have a look or have any questions just reach out. The only way to see if this is your spot is to walk through and take it in yourself. At LuxuryProperty dot com we just want to help you take your time with your next move.
