The Throne Room

The Royal Mews
 

 
The Mews contains a collection of coaches and carriages used by the Royal Family on special occasions, and many of them are still in use to this day. The most notable among them is the Gold State Coach, a majestic coach with ornate gold trim and carving, which was made for King George III and has been used in every coronation ceremony since the early 19th century. Eight horses are required to pull the coach because of its weight. The Mew also contains a prized collection of Rolls Royce limos, Bentleys and Jaguars for the luxury car enthusiasts.

Buckingham Palace Gardens
 

As impressive as the interiors of the palace are, you really do want to spend some time outdoors to capitalize on the wonderful summer weather. Spread over 39 acres, the gardens contain over 350 varieties of flowers and 200 types of trees. Process: 

We provide the most effective application process. There are six steps in the citizenship application, when choosing the real estate option, as listed here:
 
Step 1 - Review and select qualifying method
Our market intelligence team has conducted extensive research on the real estate market and can advise on unique or specific searches and present options that have passed our due diligence.

Step 2 - Preparation of citizenship application
The client will receive a detailed application package and checklist of the documents that must be collected and submitted with the application. While the checklist includes various documents, the most time-consuming may be requested ahead of time, such as birth certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, as well as police clearance certificates from your country of origin and residence if different.
 
Step 3 – We acquire pre-approval on your application

Step 4 - Citizenship and Immigration Permit applications submitted to government
Once citizenship application file of the applicant is duly completed it will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior. Afterwards, the Immigration Permit application shall be submitted to the Migration Department and Applicants are required to organize a visit for the collection of biometric data

The Immigration Card will need 5-10 working days from the date of submission of the immigration application in order to be issued. This would allow the applicant to travel and reside in Cyprus while waiting for the issuance of the Cypriot passport.

Once a citizenship application is submitted to the Ministry of Interior, it is forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for examination of the financial criteria. Once clearance from the Ministry of Finance is given, the application is sent back to the Ministry of Interior. Once the Ministry of Interior is satisfied, the application is routed to the Council of Ministers for ratification. The expected time for approval of the citizenship application is around 3 months.  

Step 5 - Issue of Cypriot citizenship certificate
Once ratified by the Council of Ministers in around 3 months, a letter of approval will be issued. In order to satisfy the program and receive the passport applicant must hold the immigration permit for six months prior visiting Cyprus for the issuance of the passport. You will need to visit our offices in Cyprus where we will lead you through the final steps. You will take an oath to the Republic and have your Citizenship Certificate stamped. With the stamped Citizenship Certificate at hand, we are then able to facilitate the application for your biometric Cypriot (EU) passport and ID which can be issued in a fast-track process of two to three hours, and you can then immediately enjoy the benefits of being an EU citizen. We need the applicant to be in Cyprus for 1 working day in order to complete the above process.

You may liquidate your held real estate after three years from the issuance of citizenship. However, if liquidating the property initially purchased (at EUR 2million), the government requires you to replace it with a smaller property of at least EUR 500,000 which must be held for life. This smaller property must be held in Cyprus as your local residence and address. Any property acquired under the citizenship program can be leased out with the intention of generating income; we can assist with this.

What are the changes that have been announced?

Anyone coming into the UAE as a professional or as an investor is typically granted a residence visa of two years, which is renewable. This has now been changed to a ten-year visa for investors and professionals in highly skilled fields such as engineering, medicine and science. Students will be given a special five-year visa, while those who consistently perform well and earn top grades will be granted a ten-year visa as well.

Another very significant change is in the ownership of companies. Businesses within the UAE are divided into two main categories: mainland businesses and freezone businesses.

At present, mainland businesses can be partially owned by expatriate entrepreneurs, but must have a UAE national as a majority shareholder in the company. Freezone companies, on the other hand, can have full foreign ownership and are subject to separate regulations depending on the freezone.

With the new regulations, every business, whether mainland or freezone, will be able to have 100% foreign ownership without the need for an Emirati partner.


Why is that important?

The UAE, and Dubai especially, has always been an attractive destination for entrepreneurs and innovators, offering an increasingly straightforward setup process for businesses, excellent facilities and services, and an environment free of corporate and income tax. The country is also a key global hub, with a short flight of 5 to 6 hours connecting it to several major cities around the world.

While Dubai provides luxury homes, solid infrastructure and a standard of living that are easily comparable to most cosmopolitan cities, it still has a very transient image for many potential residents and investors, who might bring money into the economy in the short-term, but will ultimately prefer to settle down elsewhere.

The star of this upscale district, however, is the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. This is the sort of place where you could easily while away an entire day without realizing that the seconds have ticked by.
The museum first opened its doors to the public in 1881, beginning with a collection of 71,000 exhibits, a significant portion of which had been donated by the explorer Sir Hans Sloane. Sir Hans was an Irish physician with a keen interest in natural history, and traveled the world collecting historical artifacts that would later be displayed in the halls of the museum.

Today, the Natural History Museum holds more than 80 million items, divided into five main categories - zoology, paleontology, botany, mineralogy and entomology. The museum’s most famous exhibits are ‘Dippy’ the dinosaur skeleton and the Charles Darwin collection. A more recent addition, the intact skeleton of a blue whale named ‘Hope’, has come to replace Dippy as the main attraction.

Dippy was the name given a diplodocus skeleton that was unearthed in 1898 in the American state of Wyoming . A plaster cast of the skeleton was donated to the Natural History Museum and was unveiled in 1905. At the time, Dippy was known to be the largest land animal to have ever lived, measuring 26 meters from nose to tail. In 1979, Dippy was moved from the Reptile Room to a central position in the main hall of the museum, where it remained until 2017, when it was replaced by Hope the blue whale. Starting early 2018, Dippy started touring various museums mounted on a mobile armature.

Hope, also known as the River Thames Whale, was a blue whale that had swum its way into the Thames in 2006, having apparently strayed from its pod. The whale sadly passed away the following day as she was being rescued, and her skeleton was fossilized and put on display in the Natural History Museum’s main hall.

Sir Michael Dixon, Director of the Natural History Museum has said, “Putting our blue whale, Hope, at the centre of the Museum, between living species on the West and extinct species on the East, is a powerful reminder of the fragility of life and the responsibility we have towards our planet.

The other famous exhibit the museum is known for is the Charles Darwin collection. The various specimens that are displayed are the celebrated natural philosopher’s collections of plants, animals, fossils and written work from exploring various continents over his five year voyage. The collection comprises 1,628 texts written by Darwin in a range of languages. It is known to be the largest collection of works of Darwin in existence.

These are only the tip of the iceberg, however. The museum has more items than can be put in a single article. With an extensive collection of flora and fauna spanning several contents and covering a span of millennia, there is no shortage of wonders to discover.

Other unmissable attractions in the museum are the colossal squid that can be found in the 8 metre long fish tank that is located in the Tank Room, the Gilded Canopy of painted botanical panels that depict the history of plant life, and the Dodo Painting, one of the most famous depictions of the long-extinct bird species. What’s intriguing about the painting is that it was done when there was no scientific evidence of the Dodo’s physical structure. This illustration later became the ‘manual’ for the biologist Richard Owen, who pieced together Dodo fossils for the first time by superimposing the bones on top of the painting.

The exhibits written here are just a few of the many thousands of exhibits the museum has to offer. The Natural History Museum is hardly the most glamorous of Kensington’s attractions, but is perhaps its most significant. As the world continues to change, with new animal species being discovered while others fade to memory, the significance of this institution grows ever greater. It is definitely a place not to be missed when visiting Central London.

Stringing along the side of Regent’s Park, a little away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of London, lies the district of Saint John’s Wood. History & Architecture

The magnificent, soothing green landscape was once part of the Great Middlesex Forest (an ancient woodland) which was later owned by the Knights of Saint John’s of Jerusalem.  

The area remained in agricultural use until the end of the eighteenth century, when plans for residential development appeared. Building began in the year 1809 in Alpha Road which was on the south of St John’s Wood. It was one of the city’s first suburbs abandoning traditional terraced houses for low density semi-attached villas.

While on the Boardwalk, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Arabian Gulf and Palm shoreline, as well as the stunning Dubai skyline. Moreover, the Boardwalk features several dining options in the form of food trucks and souvenir stands where tourists and residents alike can purchase handcrafted knick knacks and ornamental items. Nakheel, the developer behind the Palm islands, is looking to expand the Boardwalk and in the near future, the Boardwalk will feature high-end retail promenades, piers on the East and West side that will each extend 100 meters into the sea, and glass-encased cafes and restaurants that will allow visitors to further enjoy the beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline.
