Spectacular Three-Bed in Rixos, Dubai Island

Some homes let you breathe a little easier as soon as you walk in. I had that moment in this three bedroom apartment at Rixos Dubai Islands in Deira. It might be that light coming in from the large windows or just how open it all feels. With a built up area of over seven thousand square feet, honestly, nothing feels cramped. I found myself standing in the living room just watching the way the light changed through the day, bouncing softly off these wide floors.

You can see the attention to detail everywhere. The kitchen actually feels like somewhere you'd want to chop some herbs and just cook, not just a spot to microwave something before heading out. If you like to linger over coffee in the mornings, the view will give you plenty of reasons to take it slow. And the best thing is, you look out and you remember you are living right on Dubai Islands, close enough to Burjuman and Dubai Mall if you feel like a city day, but honestly you might just prefer staying put most times.

The bedrooms here all have that hotel feeling but softer, warmer. I walked into the main bedroom and just had to test the quiet for a second. It's that still. All the space makes it easy to imagine putting your own touch everywhere but it does not need a lot either, the finishes are tasteful without trying too hard.

Rixos does luxury a bit differently. It is less about gold trims and more about real comfort. You have doormen and valet, there is always that bit of calm as soon as you arrive. The Residences Concierge seemed to know all the best places for dinner or even just the best running path if you are into that. Security feels solid but not heavy handed. There is twenty four hour surveillance but it never feels in your way.

If you have kids or guests popping over, you will find there is room for everyone. The lobby cafe is one of those little places where you can run into neighbors and actually chat. The residents lounge is comfortable, with Wi Fi that works and quiet corners to settle in with a book or just catch up on emails. I spent a few minutes in the screening room and you can really imagine movie nights here, everyone's shoes off and drinks on the side tables. There is a dedicated play area for kids so they can burn off some energy while you relax, it all just feels easy.

Step outside and you've got the community pool for an early morning swim, plus the beach is a stroll away. I saw families coming out just as the sun was going down, some bringing out snacks and just sitting by the sand. On weekends the pedal court gets a bit more lively, and sometimes you even see a small pickup game happening. The fitness center is new and has all the gear you actually use, not just for show, and after a workout the treatment room is one of those spots you wish your own home had.

There are nearby parks too, places where you see people out with their dogs or just reading on benches. Every so often kids are biking along the paths while the city is still waking up. It makes you want to just slow down a bit.
