Sometimes you know almost right away when a place feels like home. This one bedroom apartment at Vida Residences in Dubai Marina definitely gave me that feeling the first time I opened the door. It is right at the very top of the building so yes the views really are as amazing as they sound. You get a sweep of Dubai Marina that just keeps going and you can watch the city lights come on every evening. Sometimes I found myself stopping by the window just to watch the boats go past and honestly it is the kind of view that never gets boring.

One thing you notice is how the whole apartment seems to be built around the idea of just enjoying where you are. The living room just pulls in all the daylight because of the floor to ceiling windows. It actually makes the place feel bigger than it is. You can sit in the living area and watch the sun drop behind the towers or just catch the reflections on the water. The bedroom is the same. Waking up here just feels different because it is so bright and you see some part of the city right away as soon as you open your eyes. If you like mornings or even if you don't I think you will find yourself looking forward to them here.

Even if you do not swim often it is the kind of place you would still want to bring friends or just go up with a book. There is a gym that has big windows so you are never stuck staring at a wall. Even the gardens are looked after so kids play outside sometimes and you occasionally see neighbours walking their dogs in the evenings. People seem to know each other a little bit which is not something you find everywhere.

The restaurants and shops downstairs are handy too. Sometimes you feel like Dubai Marina has everything just within reach. Metro and tram stations are not far if you like to get out and about. You can also get to the beach in just a few minutes if that is more your thing. Even though it is in one of the busiest parts of the city the apartment itself just feels easy and quiet when you want it to be. You get all the energy of the marina around you but you can still close the door and it feels private.

This apartment comes furnished and is ready to move into right now which takes the stress out of searching and waiting. The layout is simple but works well. Living here you get both life right outside your door and a calm spot for yourself whenever you need it.
