Some homes really do stop you in your tracks. Walking up the palm edged driveway to this Mogul style villa in the Fire enclave at Jumeirah Golf Estates, I paused for a second and just let the setting wash over me. There is a sense of calm out here. You can hear the distant sound of a golf cart now and again or sometimes even just birds in the greenery. The hardwood floors have a nice patina and I actually just stood there by the French doors for a moment, looking out into the garden and catching, honestly, a really nice breeze. The bathroom almost feels like you are at a spa, with a proper freestanding bath next to the window looking over the fairways, roomy double vanities and a rainfall shower that you will probably never want to leave. The other bedrooms are just as comfortable and two of them even share a jack and jill bath, which is ideal if you have kids or guests coming by often. Bedroom storage is sorted with built ins everywhere and just walking through you get the feeling that morning routines will be simple here.

One thing I keep coming back to with Fire at Jumeirah Golf Estates is just how easy it is to feel like you belong. There are world class facilities, not just golf but tennis, the gym, parks for kids, and neighbours do say you quickly get to know people just by bumping into them at the playground or out on walks. Plus, the roads here are quiet and there's always space to park.
