Some homes just have this way of slowing you down. I remember stepping into this three bedroom duplex penthouse on the top two floors of LIV Waterside in Dubai Marina and thinking, for a minute, you do not quite want to rush back out. The light here falls in from every direction, you see blue water on one side and the sweep of the Marina on the other, and it actually gives this sense of space you do not often find in the city. 

You know how some apartments can feel more like a hotel? This place really does not. It feels lived in, or rather, you can imagine yourself living here day to day. Sometimes you almost forget your phone because the place just invites you to sit down for a bit, maybe on the edge of the private sky garden. You look out and right there is the Marina with boats gliding by every so often, a few birds skimming the water. The grand entry is something you remember—double height, light bouncing off the marble, and you can hear the soft trickle of the water feature nearby, plus palm trees shaded just outside the window, almost hiding the city for a moment. 

The kitchen is not one of those places you just show off but never use. Honestly, it feels like somewhere you would actually cook a proper dinner for yourself or for a bunch of friends over the weekend. If you ever feel like leaving your private space, there are always other things happening down in the shared lounge. You could get a coffee in the resident café—the kind where you nod at a neighbor and end up talking for longer than you planned. There is a games room for when you have friends around, or you can just head down to the outdoor swimming pool, where you notice people sometimes nap on the cabanas or bring their kids for a splash in the smaller pool. 

It is easy to get used to the simple things, like strolling in the gardens below or even working from home in one of the work pods. If you ever need to jump into a call, those zoom pods come in handy, and people actually use them—I have seen them. The conference room is good for meetings you cannot avoid, and there is even space to host private dining evenings if that is your thing. It just feels easy living here. You get twenty four hour security and a concierge who actually remembers your name, and the whole layout encourages you to slow down. 

Another thing you will notice—this is the widest waterfront plot in Dubai Marina, so every walk along the water just feels a little more special. Sometimes you run into kids biking in the evenings or see a group setting up by the water for a sunset picnic. You are close enough to the liveliest parts of Dubai Marina but still tucked away, so you can hear the city when you want and close the door on it when you don't.
