Some homes just have a way of making you slow down for a second right after you walk in. This one bedroom apartment in The Great Escape 2 does that without even trying. I came through the entrance and noticed the light straightaway. It spills in through these huge floor to ceiling windows and honestly you get views that sort of stop you for a bit. There is the ocean out there but also the green stretch of the golf course so it never feels the same each day. Some mornings probably soft and blue and then later the green looks brighter around sunset. You can almost hear the quiet outside if you open the window. The building itself is right in Muscat so you get that easy city feeling but when you step inside this residence everything goes calm. There is this double height lobby when you first arrive and it has a kind of welcoming look. I did stand around for an extra minute looking up at it. The finishes are all clean and modern but you do not feel like you need to tiptoe. The apartment is about five hundred twenty seven square feet but it feels open and sometimes you forget that you are in a one bedroom. The way the rooms are set up means you are never far from that view. Even just making coffee you will find yourself glancing over to the water or the greens outside. If you like cooking at home the kitchen is actually well planned for real meals not just the stuff you heat up. Space for proper prep and the light just makes everything feel fresh. The living area is big enough that you can have friends over if you want but never so big that it feels empty if it is just you. And the bedroom I noticed is tucked in a way that feels private but still gets all the nice light to start your day. You also get your own parking slot which makes life simpler. Living at The Great Escape 2 means more than just the apartment though. Some of the best things are outside your door. There is this cliff edge infinity pool that just kind of blends with the horizon and you can float and look out to the ocean without ever feeling crowded. The gym is all new so it feels like you actually want to work out and not just say you will. I saw a few people jogging along the paths outside there are running and biking trails children's pool too and lots of places to walk if you just want to clear your head. Even some hiking paths if you need a change from the usual routine. The gardens are landscaped so you get lots of green space scattered with quiet spots to just sit for a while. Sometimes you see families taking a stroll or people having their morning coffee on a bench. There is always something happening but it never feels busy or rushed. The community itself mixes a bit of coastal peace and city access so honestly you kind of get the best of both. It feels like home whether you are working from your laptop on the balcony or stepping out to some of Muscat's cafes. Supermarkets and shops are not far and if you are into golf you will probably end up playing more often because it is right there. I always think it is hard to really know a place just from the pictures or words. This one just has a certain feel especially when the sunlight comes in late in the day.
