Casa Viva, Serena
Some places make you feel at home before you even realize it. That is how I felt stepping into this three bedroom townhouse in Casa Viva at Serena. There is something honest about it right away. Maybe it is the way the morning light moves through the windows in the living room or how you notice the gentle quiet of the neighborhood. It just feels easy and lived in even though it is brand new.
When you walk inside you are greeted by a space that never tries too hard. There is a small foyer where you drop your shoes and breathe out for a second. Just to your left you will find the laundry area and a separate maid's room. I remember stopping for a moment there and it hit me how nice it is to have everything tucked out of sight but still right where you need it. The guest bathroom is close by too. Nothing fancy but it is practical which you might appreciate for when friends or family visit. Under the staircase you have some good storage. I have a thing for storage and honestly it is surprising how much you end up needing in any home.
Take a few more steps and you come into the main living and dining area. You will see how the open plan kitchen just seems to join in naturally. What I liked here is that the kitchen actually feels like somewhere you would want to cook something real not just heat up a box meal or order takeout. There is plenty of counter space so you can imagine chopping some fresh veggies while chatting to someone on the sofa. Floor to ceiling windows open up to the terrace and every so often you catch a little breeze coming in. I think this is the kind of spot you would want to sit on a Sunday morning with coffee or blow up a few balloons for a birthday. Kids or friends could spill out onto the terrace and into your backyard. You can see the green spaces from here and you realize there is nothing claustrophobic about this place.
When you head upstairs you will notice how wide the hallway feels and the bedrooms are all a really good size. Each one comes with built in cupboards which are honestly a lifesaver for keeping things organized without too much effort. All three bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms which means no morning rush traffic. You can even picture kids quietly setting up homework or someone working from home by the window. Sometimes I just stood by one of the windows and watched as the day went on outside. The area is peaceful. You may spot someone jogging or kids biking in the evenings. Community life sounds nice here.
The architecture here in Serena is actually kind of charming. It is inspired by those Portuguese townhouses you sometimes see in holiday magazines. Lots of arches and soft colors. The whole neighborhood has huge green spaces and it is hard not to relax a little as you wander around. There is a swimming pool that gets plenty of sun most days. I have seen kids playing at the poolside and it just adds to that sense of community. There is a play area for kids as well so you could watch the kids have fun while you catch up with neighbors. And the best thing is the new marketplace nearby. Supermarket right there plus a few restaurants and coffee shops so you do not have to drive far. In fact everything you need is close by including main roads that take you into the heart of Dubai.
This townhouse in Casa Viva is not about showing off. It is just a place that feels like somewhere you want to stay for a while. And honestly that is hard to put into words until you walk through it yourself. If you have questions or just want to get a feel for the place in person I am here. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to take the pressure out of finding your next home and just make it as comfortable as possible. So come on by when you are ready and see if it feels right for you.
