Villa Kerida, Mallorca
Sometimes you walk into a place and it just invites you to slow down for a moment. That happened the first time I walked through Villa Kerida in Port d'Andratx. The salty smell in the air, that soft sunlight coming off the Mediterranean Sea, and honestly, something about the quiet around here makes you want to just breathe a little deeper. There is nothing rushed. And honestly, the place feels more like a hidden retreat than a regular villa.
You notice the entrance before you even step inside. It is one of those triple height spaces where light just pours in from above and you look up without really planning it. When I was last here, I stood in that entryway for a minute and just looked around. Everything is clean and modern but the house still feels like it belongs in Mallorca. They really kept that feeling when it was renovated in two thousand fourteen. You would never know the house is a historic one.
As you come through, you kind of drift naturally into the dining hall. I have seen mornings in here with coffee and croissants and evenings that stretched long past midnight because everyone lost track of time. The lounge sits next to it, looking right out toward the sea. You will probably catch yourself leaning on the window sill just to stare for a while. It is easy to see why people fall in love with this part of Spain. Kids sometimes run down to the water after school. Evenings are really gold colored and a bit magical.
The villa has six bedrooms in total and you do not feel cramped, ever. They are split across two levels, which keeps things peaceful if you have family or friends staying over. The lower floor bedrooms open out toward the pool and gardens. The master suite is upstairs where the view honestly never gets old. I remember standing there and just watching boats drift past for half an hour, losing track of time. Some mornings you wake up and all you hear is the sea. Sometimes you almost forget your phone exists.
The kitchen is proper. Not just for show. I have eaten lunch cooked right here by someone who loves their food. It never feels too fancy to use for real. Honestly, you could host proper family meals or just do a quiet breakfast alone before heading out for the day. There is a solarium as well, which sounds like something special and actually is. Sit there with a book or nothing at all. Somehow it always stays cool.
Something else here that really stands out is the spiral staircase going up to the tower room. It gives you this sense of old world charm but with enough light and space that you could turn it into your own reading nook or even just a private spot to watch the world outside. The upstairs sitting room is made for lingering afternoons. It does not matter if it is friends or family, there is always room for everyone to find their own quiet spot.
Step outside and you have got the gardens and a terrace that just spills out above the pool. Even better, the sea is right there. There is private sea access straight from the villa. I have seen people walk down in the morning with a cup of coffee just to watch the water. Some even have a small boat down at the dock. The private boathouse is the kind of thing you almost never find in Mallorca anymore. It just makes getting out on the water feel easy.
You are close to Port d'Andratx itself, which means the marina, fresh pastries in the morning, and all those cozy restaurants are just down the road. The Golf de Andratx is nearby too if you play. Neighbors here say you get used to seeing the same friendly faces at the coffee shop every day. The atmosphere in this part of Mallorca is something that grows on you slowly but surely.
It is a villa that could be a main home or just a second getaway for summer escapes. Either way, it promises a bit more peace than usual. If you want to know how it feels for real, you are welcome to come see it in person. At LuxuryProperty.com, we like to take things at your pace, so just let us know if you want to walk through or have any questions. No rush. The right place always feels right when you are in it.
